four days had past since maeve and louis' argument. remedy had avoided the boy at all costs, at school he'd try communicate but the girl wouldn't listen, if they ever saw each other out of school, louis would make eye contact and try tell her to listen to him.

maeve felt bad for ignoring partridge. so she decided to walk over to his house on saturday morning.

"maeve! hey," issie opened the door, maeve felt a sense of relief that she didn't have to face the boy straight away. "hey iz! is louis home?" issie smiled shaking her head before replying, "no unfortunately he's gone out with wyatt, ben and sam. but you're more than welcome to hang out with millie and i?" her brown puppy eyes glowed in the sunlight. how could maeve say no. "of course!"

the oldest partridge sibling welcomed the girl into their house. the two walked towards the living room. "hey mils," maeve smiled. surprised, millie turned around and tackled the girl into a hug. "mae!" the small partridge smiled widely.

all three girl had just finished watching the titanic together when louis got home, just in time to see their puffy eyes from crying over the movie. obviously louis didn't know they watched a movie so he thought something had happened. "um, what happened?"

all three pairs of eyes darted to the boy behind them. "we-we-" maeve started before bursting out in laughter seeing the boys concerned face. millie and issie looked at their brother and started laughing loudly too.

confused, louis asked, "what's so funny? i thought something happened," he said annoyed making the three laugh harder. "dude, we only watched the titanic," millie snorted. the three made eye contact and burst out laughing again. louis got annoyed and soon stormed off to his room causing the girls to laugh harder to the point their stomachs hurt and they couldn't breath.

"should we go annoy him?" issie suggested smirking at the idea. the other two giggled and nodded.

as quiet as they could (which isnt very possible when you're in fits of laughter), they tip-toed up the stairs and snuck into louis' room while he was in the bathroom. maeve, issie and millie piled into the boys rather large cupboard of clothes and struggled to stay silent.

louis walked in on a phone call. his words were very muffled, "i'm trying ok... c'mon man fourty bucks is better... oh no she'll definetly..." were the only sentences the three could hear. they all shrugged at each other and waited for the perfect moment to scare him.

after what felt like forever, louis walked towards his wardrobe to grab a hoodie for himself. the girls were more than ready to scare him. "BOO!" they yelled jumping at louis who yelped like a girl before falling on his butt.

once again the girls bust out laughing and louis gave a sarcastic laugh. "ha ha you're SO funny," the boy rolled his eyes before they landed on maeve remedy who stopped laughing when she felt his gaze.

"maeve. can i talk to you real quick?" the partridge boy asked softly. "actually i-" maeve started but got cut off by issie, "yes you can! we'll see you downstairs to bake cookies mae!"

"so?" maeve asked the brunette in front of her who was staying silent.

"i'm sorry."

"hm?"

"i'm sorry for the way i acted when i asked you to prom. i should've listened to your ideas too. do you want to go to prom with me? i mean it's the last one for the rest of our senior year, and we can do more us things whenever we want." louis stated. his honey brown eyes staring into maeve's.

something in maeve told her to say no again but she knew better and like partridge had said before, not everything his about her. "alright, we'll go to prom together," she sighed.

"yes! i'm so excited!" louis squealed before picking her up and spinning her around, "also! don't feel pressured to wear a fancy dress. you look good in anything," he added. maeve nodded and laughed. she kissed louis' cheek before skipping downstairs to the sisters.
