46 - Argument

Y/N -
June 16th, 1944

You were fixing up your dorm room, since it was a little messy, but a unexpected knock on your door interrupted it.

You opened the door and faced the one and only, Elijah Duskstone.

How exciting.

"Y/n." Elijah greeted with a dark French accent.

"What do you want, Elijah?" You asked.

"I'm going to Hogsmeade tomorrow, around lunch time since it's the weekend, do you mind coming with?" He questioned.

"I hope you don't think I'm that stupid." You scoffed.

Elijah invited himself in and shut the door behind him.

"I don't, it's just a friendly gesture." He replied.

"Well, I'm afraid I'll have to say no, I have to study tomorrow." You explained.

"Studying on a Saturday? That's quite a buzz kill Miss Y/l/n." He said irreverently. 

"Well you have 'quite' the vocabulary." You spoke in a smart-ass tone.

"I'll buy you something if you go." Elijah bribed.

"Hm, I could go for a butter beer tomorrow, fine whatever. But if you try anything, say goodbye to your last seconds on this earth." You said smugly.

You watched as he rolled his eyes.

"I have things to do, now get out pretty boy." You huffed.

"So you think I'm pretty? How kind of you." He smiled.

"Get out." You repeated.

He gave you a quick smirk before he left, shutting the door behind him.

——dinner——

BRIDGET POV -

I ended up running into Y/n at dinner, well that was easy.

"I'm sorry, I didn't see you there." I lied, helping her off the ground.

"No no, don't worry about it. Bridget isn't it?" She asked.

"Yep, that's me." I smiled.

"Hey Bridget." I heard a voice behind me.

Nicholas.

That's weird, I thought he didn't like me.

"Oh hey, Nicholas." I reply.

I turned back around to see Y/n have a confused look on her face.

"You met him?" She questioned me.

"Ye-"

"She has, why do you ask?" Nicholas cut me off.

"I was just asking, Nick." Y/n says.

"And I was just answering, Y/n." Nick snapped at her.

I felt Nicholas's arm wrap around me, and I knew he was trying to make Y/n jealous, I'm supposed to get close with both of them, not this, and I won't be able to do it if Y/n hates me.

"What is wrong with you?" Y/n asked him.

"Nothing of the particular, why don't you go be a whore somewhere else, like my brothers room." Nicholas sneered.

I stood there in silence, if I took Y/n's side then Nicholas would be mad and I would fail, and if I took  Nicholas's side Y/n would hate me and I'd fail, so I stayed silent.

"Relax mate, no need for that." Elijah spoke, coming behind Y/n.

Elijah glanced at me and smirked, like I did something right.

"Fucking the enemy now Y/n? Real classy." Nicholas scoffed.

"Enemy? I'm no such thing." Elijah replied.

"You know what you did, Elijah." Nicholas murmured.

"What I DID? You-"

"Let's just go Elijah." Y/n said, cutting him off, grabbing his arm.

Y/N -

You and Elijah walked out of the Great Hall, into the hallways.

"What did you do to make Tom and Nick so mad?" You asked.

"I did nothing, they fucking ditched me, left me to die." Elijah spat.

"I actually believe that." You said.

"What's up with you and lover boy over there?" Elijah now questioned you.

"He's mad at me because I... was with his brother after being with him..." You sighed.

"He's mad he didn't have a chance with you? Awe, how cute." Elijah said, sticking out his bottom lip with a sarcastic pouty face.

His head cocked to the side, studying you.

"You're unbelievable." You laughed.

"What are you doing." A familiar voice said.

I looked over and saw Tom standing tall against the wall.

Elijah tensed up as Tom's eyes switched to his.

"I don't do teenage drama." Elijah scoffs, walking away before things got bad.

"What are doing with him?" Tom asked.

"Nothing Tom, he's not as bad as you say he is." You responded.

"He's only getting close to you so he can use you to get revenge on me." Tom snapped.

"Revenge for what? You leaving him to die? You sound like the selfish bad person in this situation Tom, not him." You yelled at him.

Before Tom replied you have already walked away, going to find Elijah.
