WARNING: THIS CHAPTER CONTAINS CONTEXT OF SELF HARM. I WILL INFORM YOU WHERE IT STARTS AND ENDS, IN CASE YOU WISH TO SKIP IT.
WE GOT TO MAX'S house about fifteen minutes later, kicking off our shoes. I was looking through her books. "Oh, hey, this is cute." Ginny picked up a jean jacket.
"Try it on." Ginny pulled the jacket on and looked herself over in the mirror. "Oh, I love that on you. You have to keep it."
"Seriously?"
"Yeah, one hundo percent. Oh, Amar, I have something that would look perfect on you." She drew me away from the book I was looking at. "Here."
She handed me a light yellow crop top. "Really? You think it'd look good on me?" I held it up in the mirror.
"Absolutely. Try it on." I took off my crop top, replacing it with the yellow one as Max started talking again. "I can not believe how much English homework we have, and it is only our first day."
"Ugh, Mr. Gitten is such an asshole."
"Tell me about it, he sent me to the principal's office." I sighed, turning around.
"It looks gorgeous on you. It really compliments your skin tone." I thanked her before they went back into the conversation. "He's a power hungry monster. Total troll beneath the bridge."
"It's like, I'm sorry you suck." Ginny added.
"Yeah, like, I'm so sorry your dick is small, and nobody wants to touch it."
"I'm sorry that Max and I get more pussy than you." I fake pouted, high fiving Max.
Ginny laughed. "I'm sorry you're balding. That must be hard for you."
"So, how are you two liking Wellsbury? Is it paradise?"
"Compared to what we're used to? Basically." I rolled my eyes, raiding Max's closet.
"Oh, Ginny. I'm supposed to subtly and casually ask you if you have a boyfriend?" My eyes widened. Marcus wouldn't talk to his sister about Ginny, would he? So who else is interested in Ginny? "Hunter wants to know." I sighed in relief.
"Oh, I uh... I've never had a boyfriend. I've never even kissed a guy. We move a lot, so we're always the new girls."
"That sounds awful... or potentially thrilling. Amar, what about you? Boyfriend? Girlfriend?"
"No." I laughed. "I've had boyfriends and girlfriends, but they were in middle school, so I don't think they really count." I shrugged.
"Maybe you guys can like, change your personality's."
"You'd get along with our mother." Ginny moved over to the bay window, letting me take her spot on the floating chair.
"I would love to get along well with your mother. God, she is so bangin." I laughed, knowing that's what everyone thinks about our mother.
