AUSTIN RAN INTO THE house, excited to see Zion. "Zion, can we do a blanket fort tonight?"

"Of course." He chuckled. "How was your game, sweetie?"

"Good." I shrugged.

"Oh, it was better than good. She kicked their butts." Georgia bragged, sitting down beside me. There was an awkward pause before Ginny spoke up.

"Mom's dating someone." I glared at her, earning one in return.

"Really? He a good guy?"

"Yea, he is."

"He's really nice. He's a good cook." I added, receiving a confused look from Zion.

"Hey, Austin. Why don't you go grab your blankets."

"I'll help you." Ginny ran off with him.

Zion and Georgia looked at me expectantly. "Oh, I guess it's my turn to make up an excuse. Well, I guess I should go take a shower after being all sweaty. Goodnight."

I ran upstairs and took a long, hot shower. I wrapped a towel around my body and made my way to my room, closing the door behind me.

"Well, that's an interesting look."

I whipped my head around, almost giving myself whiplash, and saw Marcus sitting on my bed. "Shit, Marcus, you almost gave me a heart attack." He sat, chuckling at my distress. "Asshole. What're you doing here?"

He walked over to me, placing his hands on my hips. "I told you, I couldn't wait until tomorrow to see you again."

"You're such a dork. Can you at least let me get dressed before you get all cuddly?"

"Be my guest." He sat back down on the bed with his fingers intertwined.

"Privacy would be nice."

"It's not like I haven't seen it before." He shrugged, smirking.

"Marcus." I whined. "Seriously."

"Alright, alright." He held his hands up, walking to the hallway.

"And keep it discreet, no one knows you're here." As if on cue, the door opened, revealing Ginny.

"When did Marcus get here?"

"Is Marcus here?" Georgia shouted from the stairs. "Ask him if he wants any ice cream."

"My mom wants to know if you-"

"No, we're good." I cut Ginny off.

"Actually, I could use some ice cream." Marcus inched closer to the door.

"Okay. You go get the ice cream and I'll put on the movie. Which one are we on?" I grabbed some night clothes and placed them on my bed.

"Thor Ragnarok."
