Ill-stricken faceFor on your wedding day
Once this dreary celebration is finally done
I shall silently slip away
Knowing you would not even notice
That your "best man" is goneFor on your wedding day
Once I am home alone
I shall weep myself to sleep
Longing for your warm embrace
Knowing you would no longer be the one for me
Despite my desperate hopes
And unspoken pleads
