I would look at
Those older girls
Wishing for my time
To quickly pass on by
For the thought
Of growing up
Was an exciting thing to think of;
A lovely daydream to pass by the time
For all the glitz
And the glam
And the makeup
And the outfits they would wear
Prancing about
In those high heels of theirs
Made me wish fervently
I would simply just wake up
To find myself
As a teenage girl
Ready to take on
The whole,
