The distant chatter
The silenced noise
Drifting into the ocean
Far, far away
Down an empty void
Hugged by the waves
Who say hello, welcome byFor the blur
And the highs
And the wind
And the tides
Made her feel like there was company
Made her feel rather comforted
Besides the heavy thoughts
That linger on in her mind
As her desperation
And her emptiness
Have all been swallowed down by her sadness
As well as her muffled criesFor the ones who are loved
And laughing
Laughing!
And going through life
Like those couples on Valentine's
Are the feelings she longs for
And yet
They are the feelings she cannot help
But strongly despiseAnd the waves will carry me gently
Back towards the dreaded shore
Lost in a sea of people
Who seem to walk on by
Without a second glance
Oh,
Without a second glance
To see what is going on inside
This very messy head of mineFor they all seem much too busy
Walking their ways of life
Hand-in-hand with the ones
Who will stick by them throughout the times
While I watch their bodies whiz on by
In my blurry state of mind
Lonely
And alone
All
All
All the time
