"AVAST, YE, COOKIE!!" A woman bellowed from down the hall leading to the psychiatric ward of the compound.

The sudden outburst startled all of those occupying the Avengers base as in reaction to such a thing resulted in a doctor assigned to looking after Gianna sprinted through the corridors and halls for her cell. In the cell that kept captured the Goddess of Voice, the doctor peered through the window of the door and saw that the woman was conversing with nobody visually present in the room, which instantly brought great concern that she was talking to an imaginary friend, more so arguing now that she was acting as if a fairy was twirling around her head.

"What do y'mean I'm fat? I'm not fat. You're fat! You and you're, your stupid six percent cholesterol sweetness! I'm sorry, I'm sorry! I-I didn't mean it! W-What, now? I, I, I don't have anything to use to--!" Gianna exclaimed at nothing.

"Oh dear... Well, at least this is an improvement than before. Now, she's finally talking sense, not gibberish," said Gianna's doctor. "Oh, hello Sergeant. I take it you heard the fuss as well?"

"How is she, doc? Any improvement?" Bucky replied casually as he peered into Gianna's cell then back at the doctor who took his interest seeing as how she was the only female doctor at the facility.

"Slight. She's talking fluently now, but the only problem is she believes she's talking to someone we can't see. I'm concerned her diagnosis has a strange case of schizophrenia or psychosis. I can't fully rule out either of the two."

"What's the difference?"

"Psychosis is caused by schizophrenia. Schizophrenia involves visual and or auditory hallucinations accompanied by a number of antisocial behaviour patterns - such as poor grooming, involuntary movements, incomprehensible speech patterns and incapacity to understand speech. While psychosis is typically episodic. Almost anyone can have psychotic episodes from time to time due to extreme tiredness or stress. If they hear the same voice inside his or her head commanding them what to do, then there maybe a risk that the affected individual could be experiencing manifestations of schizophrenia or disorders that are considered precursors of schizophrenia. In Mrs Maximoff's case, she tends to drop in and out of reality; each time she's either only twelve percent focused when in reality or she's completely oblivious to anything said or done to her. Either time, she's always conversing with her imaginary buddy."

"What does she say her buddy looks like? Doe he have a name?"

"Well... she says his name's Horatio and that, well, he is a cookie. Sorta like the gingerbread man except this one has two separate personalities: one is super friendly - almost child-friendly in which Mrs Maximoff's treated like a child - and then there's one that's like her little devil but in a much more cruel fashion."

"How about Wanda - is it just amnesia?"

The doctor sighed and combed hair behind her ear. "I'm afraid... normally amnesia comes from severe brain damage. But it's like, it's something else. I've read her file, and..."

"Wait, you don't think she...?"

"I'm afraid that's the only logical explanation."

"Shit. But if she erased her memories, how is that they still have their soulbond?"

"Soulbond? Hm. She could still remember, but it would prove difficult to theorise anything that can get the two to refurbish their bond. It's coincidental that Mrs Maximoff lost her memories and Mrs Maximoff lost her sanity. Otherwise, we might just have to wait and let time take its course."

"What's the expectancy of that waiting period?"

"Hopefully in two years."

"And if they don't get better?"
