'Was it for real or was it just me?
In love'

——————————————————————

An anxious Kara stood outside of Alex' apartment, her hand balled up as she prepared to knock once more.

The door swung open, presenting a smiling Alex whose smile faltered slightly.

"Kara, you can't be here right now" Alex whispered.

"I know but... she's leaving today... I didn't want her to leave on bad terms with me. And... I've not seen her for the past week, we haven't spent any time together and I miss my best friend" Kara said.

"Kara, you know I love you, but she specifically requested that you stay away from her. I don't want to go against her request. I'm sorry" Alex said.

"Please, let me talk to her. She's still my sister and I miss her" Kara pouted. Both Elle and Kara had not been on good terms ever since the entire situation. Elodie stayed with Alex for the rest of her stay in National, avoiding Kara as best she could.

Kara had respected her personal space but at this point, she was beginning to miss her sister and felt she had to speak to her quickly before she left.

"Fine, come in. But be careful with what you say, you know she's sensitive." Alex said, moving towards the side to allow Kara space to come in as Kara smiled thankfully at her.

"She's in the guest room" Alex said.

"Thank you" Kara said, making her way to the guest room.

She knocked on the door, waiting for some sort of response but there was only silence. She turned to look at Alex to ask where Elodie was but Alex was no longer in her sight.

Kara decided to knock again but she got the same silence as before.

"Elodie? It's me, Kara." Kara called out. No response.

"Listen, I know you're annoyed with me but can we talk?" Kara asked. At this point, she figured that Elodie was just ignoring her.

She pulled her glasses down slightly, using her xray vision only to see that Elodie wasn't even in there, causing Kara's confusion only to grow.

She opened the door, entering the room and looked around.

Elodie's suitcase was opened on the bed, she hadn't completely finished packing yet. However Elodie was nowhere to be seen causing Kara to begin to panic. Where could her sister have gone? Especially in the middle of packing.

And it didn't help that a sudden smell of smoke filled the air. And a sudden warmth. Kara quickly turned towards the window, only to see a large fire began to dissipate, leaving a figure in it's depart.

There, Elodie stood with a faded, lilac outfit, the back slightly longer than the front. Her hood lay behind her, no longer on her head. Instead, her two, tight hazelnut dutch braids were revealed.

Covering her face was a white and black bandana, her azure eyes glistening above them. Two katana's were loaded on her back. Her boots were long, going slightly below her knee.

Her outfit could only resemble one other hero. Gotham's hero. Someone who worked with Robin. The two attempted to stay within the shadows, taking the law into their own hands as they took down anyone who didn't abide by it.

"Shade?!" Kara said, completely in shock at the new revelation.

Elodie's eyes widened, quickly facing Kara.
