A/N: I'm sorry this took longer than expected! As you may have already guessed, I've had a busy few days at work. But finally here is part 2. I rewrote this part so it will be different from what I originally posted for Suitfit Cupid =) I hope you like it! Keep safe and have a great weekend everyone!

Ha Chae-yoon woke up the following morning and immediately checked her phone. Nothing. No calls. No messages.

She crossed her arms and harrumphed. Man gets a kiss and immediately ghosts her. She should have known. A man that good looking was expectedly a jerk.

Chae-yoon rolled her eyes. If she were really honest with herself, she had to admit even those who weren't handsome could also be jerks. That's it, she thought. All men are jerks.

Pushing herself out of bed, she took a shower and and started a lazy weekend she planned for herself. While preparing her breakfast, her phone notifications went off that she almost dropped the glass she was holding as she ran to the coffee table where she left her phone.

Checking the screen to see who it was, her heart beat rapidly as the phone took a little too long to show who the sender was. "Calm down, You," she commanded herself. When the message finally popped up, she pouted and her shoulders slumped upon finding out that it was a colleague reminding her of the meeting on Monday which they still had to prepare for.

Throwing her phone on the couch, she headed back to her kitchen, flipped the switch on her coffee maker and sighed as she heard the buzz that meant her caffeine fix was on the way soon. Staring blankly ahead, her thoughts turned to the surprisingly nice time she had the night before.

Min Tae Gu was so different from the men she dated. For one, he had much longer hair which he left un-styled. But the waves that fell on his forehead appeared so silky and she wondered how it would feel like to run her fingers through it.

He was also one of the most handsome -- she corrected herself, he was THE MOST handsome man she met. While recalling those facial features she stared at the whole night, her thoughts inevitably landed on his lips.

Ha Chae-yoon bit her lower lip thinking of their kiss. His lips were soft and he tasted sweet, possibly from the dessert they had at the restaurant. She took a sip of her coffee which made her  sigh while her mind relived that brief kiss.

The sound of her phone made her open her eyes again. Slowly heading back to the couch, she settled in before she finally picked up her cellphone.

Min Tae Gu.

She sat up straighter. Clicking on the message, she tried to tamp down her excitement in case he was sending her a message to reject her. "Good morning, Inspector. I just wanted to say thank you for going out with me last night."

Ha Chae-yoon tentatively smiled. It was nice and polite but at this point his next line could go either way.

A follow up message quickly came in. "Do you think you'd want to go out with me again? I vaguely recall asking last night but you so wonderfully distracted me." He then added a kissing emoji which made Ha Chae-yoon laugh.

Typing her reply, she couldn't help but feel giddy. "So you're forgetful. You're right. You already asked. If you forgot, tough luck. I'm not repeating my answer."

"Alright! I'll pick you up at 7? Oh wait. I dreamt of a crow earlier so maybe not today."

She rolled her eyes and laughed. "Are we going to have to wait for the next full moon to meet?" she teased.

"Can I call? This needs more explanation." After she agreed, he dialled her number and she picked up quickly. "No, we don't have to wait for a full moon to date but we would need to go out on a full moon to ensure we release the height of our powers."

Ha Chae-yoon frowned. "You did not tell me you engaged in witchcraft. And how would a big space rock make you more powerful, huh?"

Min Tae Gu chuckled. "Oh, there's my cynical crush. It's not just a space rock. Don't you love the moon? Don't you feel anything for it at all?"

Ha Chae-yoon was stumped. It was a question she had never been asked. Deciding to give it some thought since it seemed important to him, she admitted, "I feel sad looking at the full moon sometimes."

"Why is that?" he asked. In her mind, his forehead was in a not trying to comprehend her response.

She sighed. "I don't know. It seems like it's out there looking at the Earth but the Earth doesn't really appreciate its presence. The moon doesn't even have its own light. It only reflects what the Sun gives off."

Min Tae Gu sighed on the other end of the line. "First off -- congratulations. I am proud that you listened to your science teachers in school."

Ha Chae-yoon laughed. "Oh you jerk."

He laughed, joining in her mirth. "Second, what you said was strangely beautiful and tragic. Let me know if you ever venture into writing, Inspector Ha. I would love to read your work."

Chae-yoon rolled her eyes. "I simply described how I feel about the moon because you asked. That's so far from writing... anything. All I can write are case reports."

"Good. Don't take my job. Anyway, the last thing I wanted to say is... there are people who notice the moon. I see it but I wonder if it can get past looking at the Earth as a whole and see me, too."

She was quiet for a little while, unsure how to respond to that, so she said, "That's too profound for my brain right now, Mr. Min. It's way too early."

He chuckled. "Okay. Let's put pause on that for now. Anyway, how does Wednesday sound? It's the 18th. The date ends in 8. Lucky number."

Ha Chae-yoon rolled her eyes but couldn't help but giggle. "Fine. Tomorrow is the 15th. Isn't 5 a lucky number?"

She heard keyboard sounds and she wondered if he was researching. Shortly, he confirmed her suspicions. "I can't find anything that definitively says so. I don't want to push my luck... unless.. I could bring a rabbit's foot. That's good luck!"

"NO!" she protested. "You are not taking a rabbit's foot on a date with me. That's just gross."

"I'll try to find a four-leaf clover... I'll call you but keep your Sunday free for me please? I'll head to the market now to look for good luck charms."

When they ended the call, Ha Chae-yoon shook her head. She had serious doubts about dating. Like she told Min Tae Gu during their dinner, she just felt like people had an inner bad person lurking. What she didn't share was that she felt like something in her triggered that horrible persona to come out.

So she has been skeptical of men and people since. Yet, here she was... inexplicably charmed by a writer who was now browsing market stalls for a talisman.

She wasn't sure where this was going but, at least for the moment, Min Tae Gu was a welcome change to her life.
