A/N: Continuation of Runaway :-) I'm using the timeline of their public announcement here though I know there were speculations of them dating much sooner

Close the door, lay down upon the floor
And by candlelight, make love to me through the night

He stared at her sleeping face. "I can't believe you really came to me," he whispered in awe.

After the wrap party of their series, she decided that it was time for them to take a break. They weren't dating officially but it was impossible to deny that they had fallen for each other.

"I'm sure about my feelings. I'm sure about you," he insisted.

She was torn, he could tell. Though their circumstances were not as dire as the situation their characters faced, it was still a painful thought. "We also know how one can be swept by a good love story. This drama of ours has an epic one. I just... I want to make sure this is real and not just an offshoot of our project."

He knew she had a point but that did not make it easy to accept. "So I can't see you?"

She shook her head.

"Can I at least call? With everything going on in the world, I need to be able to reach you," he insisted.

She thankfully understood. He was sick with worry when she collapsed with exhaustion on set; with this new virus going around, he was certain he would worry everyday wondering if one of his loved ones caught it.

Still, he respected her decision so he didn't bombard her with calls and messages. Two weeks in, he was miserable and no amount of golf could take away his loneliness.

He yearned for her. He begged to see her. He wanted to tell her so much but she kept her distance.

Then, tonight, just as he was about to turn in... she called. "Open the door."

"What?"

"Open the door. Now."

He ran to his front door and finally saw her beautiful face which was currently mirroring his sadness. "I'm sorry. I can't be apart for much longer. I love you. I love everything about you, even the annoying traits you have. And I really like you. I think you're a kind man and a good person which is why we're friends. You may think that's not important but it is. I think it will get us through the bad times."

He was certain that his face changed from worry, to longing, to smiling, to grinning. Then, turning serious because he knew this was a big moment for her, he asked, "Are you certain? I can wait a little bit more if you need more time?"

"You can?" She asked timidly. "I've been missing you so bad these past weeks and you can still wait and go on not seeing me?"

Taking her into his arms and then cupping her face, he whispered, "Can't you tell how miserable I've been? Wondering if I'd be good enough for you... wondering if I'd ever smile the same without you."

"Tch. Of course, you'll smile again," she replied. "But it won't be as good as how I make you laugh."

He felt the bubbling from his belly then up his chest before he threw his head back in a big laugh. "I missed you," he said.

It was a magical night.

As they lay in each other's arms to rest, his heart was certain - she was the one he was going to spend the rest of his life with.

"I will protect you," he promised her sleeping form. "I love you and cannot wait to see what the rest of our lives bring."

I have runaway, I have runaway with you

She peeked into the nursery and saw him whispering to their young son.

"Sleep tight, little one. Appa chased all the monsters away so there will be no more nightmares for you," he whispered, smoothing the baby's hairs. "Kitty Noona will stand guard while Appa and Eomma are out, okay? We just have our weekly date night but we'll be back soon. Sweet dreams, my son. Appa loves you very much."

This. This was what she thought about years back when she was deciding about them. There were many handsome men around her - actors, chaebols, doctors - who were propositioning her to marry. Many of them also fine and kind people. But, for some reason, it was only with HIM that being a good father was a vivid thought.

She had considered being a mom for a long time but as the years passed, she was slowly letting go of the idea. Until she met him and babies were all she could think about. However, she wanted to be sure that her heart and mind were prepared for it. So they kept it private.

She told him long ago that she did not want to confirm just any relationship. If she said something, he would be the one she married.

When she agreed to confirm their dating status, he kept jumping around their house as if he won the biggest lottery prize.

"Why are you so surprised?" She teased. "I've moved in and we've essentially been starting with wedding preparations!"

"And you're wearing the engagement ring," he pointed out.

"Yes," she replied happily recalling that he asked her in a very private and intimate proposal. Staring at him, she wondered, "Did you really still doubt?"

"That you loved me? No," he replied emphatically. "But I knew you needed time with work commitments."

She knew the commitment that would take and the sacrifices she had to make with her career. But, with him as her partner, this new chapter didn't seem so daunting.

She kissed his nose gently. "Just one more drama for me. Actually, I have been preparing for the most important day for us. I have the flowers, the gowns, the photographer... I can't wait to marry you."

Formally announcing the dating status to the public was step one.

"Wait, did you say gowns?" He asked.

"Yes! I'm only doing this once so I want to wear all the pretty gowns ever made!" She said. "Do you mind going with me to fittings?"

"I would be honored."

And now, here they were. She should have known he would get her pregnant almost immediately but she wasn't complaining. This boy was the apple of her eye and she didn't think this kind of happiness was even possible!

She returned to the moment and saw her husband checking the surroundings, making sure their child was safe, his baby monitor and cctv were all functional, Kitty's bed was nearby and she was also warm and sleeping soundly. Turning to her, he smiled, "They're okay. Let me just talk to the nanny for a bit then we'll go."

"I spoke to her already. We should be good," she informed him. "Thank you for being such a good father."

"Thank you for making me one. Now, allow me to be a good husband to the love of my life," he said.

For some time before they confirmed, she sometimes felt like an impostor - Pretending she didn't talk regularly to this man.

Now, she was happy that he had helped her build this private and sacred space but also able to share some of it to their fans.

"I am the happiest I have ever been."

"When I come home, there are no words to describe it but I feel... complete."

Staring at him as he drove them to their restaurant of choice, she clasped her hand in his free one and thought, thank you for this life.

I have fallen in love...
I'm never gonna stop falling in love with you
