Bin had always felt different in his world.

As an Elf, he was extraordinarily good looking, tall and youthful, even if he is closing in on a hundred years old. But even so, he was one of the most beautiful. His face was the stuff that started fairy tales.

Many of his peers had found their partners early in life and started families of their own, but Bin has not found his. Once he asked a dear friend how to know when he has found the one that is meant for him, his friend said, "She makes my light burn brighter and fills my whole being with warmth."

Bin thought that it must be just words that his friends was spouting. It cannot be that because if it truly was, then why didn't he feel that yet. Worried for his welfare, his mother advised him to go to a seer. He had deferred it for years because he felt that he was still relatively young and there were still many battles that he had to win with his group. However, it now seemed like the time had come.

He went to see the prophetess who lived by the eternal falls under a trellis of flowers and where all one could hear were the chirping birds and the rush of the water as it dropped to merge into the pool below.

Legend has it that she was close to a thousand years old, her hair salt and pepper and came down to her waist. When he arrived, her eyes were closed and she seemed to be meditating. But as he got closer to her, she opened her eyes and smiled at him. "Do not worry, My Child, you will find her soon."

"I will? But I have met everyone here, Sibyll."

"She is not of our world. You need to go."

Go. The seer was telling him to go to the world of the humans, a place he had never been. Long ago, it was common for elves, fairies, gnomes and others of their kind to travel back and forth from their land to the land of the humans. However, as people increased their technologies and developments, it became more and more dangerous for their kind. Their kind was dismissed as being myths, a figment of the imagination, or some have outright denied their existence.

This denial first killed the fairies. Then, humans physically attacked the others. It was their elders who decided to retreat to their world and close the gates so there would be no more crossings. The elves could wipe out the entire human race and they did not wish that, so to keep the peace, the retreat seemed to be in order.

There were a select few who ventured into the world of the humans and have chosen to live among them. However, in his lifetime, he does not know of anyone so he would probably be the first. He hesitated.

Sibyll looked at him again and said, "Her heart is searching for you, too."

"Would my heart recognise her?"

The prophetess nodded. "And the light of the moon will shine through her eyes."

Is there someone out there for me?

Ye Jin stared at the night sky after she and her boyfriend of 4 years broke up. She had dated before and each break up hurts. However, when she was with Han Yi-Soo she thought that this would be it -- the one that would last forever.

But it was not to be.

So, here she was alone at the beach, staring up at the night sky, nursing a broken heart again.

Guard your heart. Guard your heart.

She reminded herself. She didn't want to go through this again and next time she falls in love, she will make sure that that was it. No more break ups, no more trying again. That was it or she was swearing off love forever. For now, she would allow herself to cry.

Ye Jin thought about the first time they met, when they started dating, when they became a couple and all the good times that they shared. And then finally, the goodbye. She walked a little closer to the water to let her feet soak and her tears join the vast ocean, hoping that somehow it would start the healing process.

She walked along the shore admiring how the bright moon cast a path from the heavens to the surface of the sea. As she continued to take in the  beautiful scene in front of her, she was surprised to find a figure at the end of that light path, near the rocks. "Omo!"

Running towards the person, she found a man, unconscious. But the closer she got, she heard him groaning. Ye Jin cradled his face in her arms. "Sir! Are you alright? Does anything hurt? I'll call for help."

"No." He lay back and took deep breaths. "I will heal soon."

Ye Jin frowned at his formality but her primary concern was whether the man will be alright. However, with the man laying back, Ye Jin couldn't help but notice a couple of things.

One, the man was gorgeous. Even with cuts in his face and the soft light from the moon, she could not help but appreciate the strong, chiseled features. His perfect nose and plump lips stood out, but she also noted his high cheekbones and muscular jawline.

Her eyes caressed his face, down to his thick neck, his pectoral muscles, his flat belly... "OMO!" Ye Jin quickly turned away.

Two, the man was buck naked. Averting her eyes to stare at everything else other than the man, she asked, "Are you sure you're okay? We should call a doctor. Aren't you freezing?"

"I will heal soon," he repeated.

She nodded. "Alright but can we at least get you inside?" Ye Jin helped the man get up. Asking him to lean back on the rock for a bit, she took off her cardigan and covered him... well, covered his front.

They slowly made their way back to her villa where she tended to his wounds and got him into one of her oversized, stretch shorts that she somehow managed to fit into him without looking. Watching him to make sure he was rested, she again admired his face and skin that for sure many actresses like her would want to have.

"Who are you?" she whispered.

But, for tonight, they needed rest.
