Water is almost as essential for human as air. Today we are celebrating the World for Water.
Water is a part of us our world on an unprecedented level. Human bodies have more than 70% of water, and coincidently our planet earth also has 70% of water bodies.
So, that means Water is one of our main resources. Unfortunately, though while this world has so much water, many cities have run out of water, and many more are on a list for running out of water.
Indian had to make a 2000 crore deal with foreign companies to be able to provide water for three cities. This should be a clear indicator of what this countries situation regarding water is. It is a sad truth that we humans have neglected our resources water being one of them.
We have taken for granted this resource which is essential for our survival. We forget to take care of it as it takes of us. Water while in abundance is not a never-ending supply, this has been proved before time and time again with major cities of the world losing water supply.
This is just the situation with clean drinking water. Which we are running out of. But let’s take a look at other waters bodies.
Water also sustains a very vast marine life. Ocean water is so polluted that dolphins and whales are being born with pollution in their blood. Algae is collecting on the surface not letting oxygen reach marine life forms.
We are unrestrainedly dumping toxic waste into the sea and ocean in rivers. This is harmful not only for the fishes and other life forms but also for plants, the corals and other flora of the marine life form.
Start preserving water.
Stop wasting it when it is not necessary.
Close your taps tightly.
Start harvesting rainwater.
Please stop wastage of water, least we run out of it, a have to find alternates for having enough drinking and usage water to get by in our lives.
