The rest of the flock followed me in complete silence. When I got into the room, I dramatically covered my mouth and pretended to throw up. "What in God's name what that?" Fang asked, eyes wide. Max was laughing as the two younger kids ran around the room, jumping on the two beds excitedly. "Oh, young Fang" Max began in a sweet voice. "It's called having the power of womanhood on your side." She winked, walking backward to inspect the beds for any sort of bedbugs.

"Aka, it's called using your body to manipulate some sexist pigs." I corrected, leaning my back against the grey wall. "I didn't think you had it in you" Max chirped, brown orbs focusing on the task at hand. "You seem like the least likely out of the two of us to pull off something like that." She looked up at me, eyes sparkling. Iggy sat quietly on a chair, not speaking.

"I just did what I had to do." I shrugged, crossing my arms under my chest. "I feel sick from it though. He is definitely a smoker." I gagged. "Don't like smokers, then?" Fang grinned his first large smile in months. Sometimes I forgot he was capable of it. When the younger kids weren't paying attention, we could joke around like this. Be actual idiotic teenagers instead of parents or older siblings.

"Not at all. Can't stand the smell of it." I informed him, rolling my eyes as I went through the bag Fang and thrown on the floor, picking out a small child-sized box of raisins. "Tell us then," Max began. Oh no. "What is your type?" She grinned. I refused to acknowledge the girl, walking over to Iggy and setting the box in his hands. He flinched, looking up. "Eat, please." I murmured as I walked away, vaguely registering his nod.

"Stop ignoring me" Max whistled with a smirk. "What's your type, Maximum?" I fired back, getting no response. "That's what I thought, you little worm." I grinned. Much to my shock, she responded. "Mysterious. Charming in that sort of way, y'know? But has a soft heart, caring. Not really down for blue-eyed beauties, I like darker features like black or brown hair, though physical traits come after personality for me." She said, crossing her arms. "Your turn, smartass." She rolled her eyes.

Well, this is a predicament. You see, I had been keeping one small secret. I must've figured it out a year back, after reading something about it. I wasn't straight, I was bisexual. I didn't mention it because there was no need for it, I wasn't about to make it my entire personality (nothing against the people who do), but now I was considering coming out to my family. I sat down with bird-like grace on the bed she had just finished inspecting. Fang was studying my expression curiously.

I leaned over to the kneeling Max, eye level with her. "Depends," I said simply. I leaned back as she looked at me. "On what?" she asked, confused as all hell. I remembered when I came out to Nudge, the way she sat quietly and listened, without butting in (something rare from Nudge.) I had a feeling this wasn't how it was going to play out here, with three curious 15-year-old siblings, and two younger ones who would probably ask questions after hearing their confusion.

Without thinking about it too much, because I knew thinking about it would hold me back, I spoke. "Girl or boy. Take your pick." I crossed my legs and leaned back, but I could feel the nervous bubbling energy in the pit of my stomach. "Wait, huh?" Max blinked. Fang stiffened slightly, his brain connecting the dots. "Waiiiit," He drew out. "You're... Bi?" he asked, more trying to make sure he had the right term. "Um... Yeah." I said, shyly this time.

Max's eyes lit up. "Holy crap! Why didn't you tell us before?" She asked, wrapping her arms around me, something I was not used to from Max. She had been acting slightly out of character lately, more girlish and happy. I wasn't going to say anything though. "Was nervous," I murmured. "Didn't know how you'd respond, clearly, I was wrong to be nervous." I chuckled, prying her arms off of me. I looked to Iggy, who was smiling. "I seem to be learning more about you by the day." Iggy said simply, but he didn't seem upset I hadn't told him.
