Mark's pov

I can't believe I'm actually here, in space! this is a dream come true!
Heh, It's funny, I'm still acting like it's my first day here even though it's already been a couple of weeks. but how can I not be amazed about this!? the view, the ship, the fact I'm in fucking space. Sure It caaan get boring at times, especially since I'm here alone but I'm still in space so I'm not complaining, everything's got it's perks. I'm just glad I at least have internet here.

"Maybe I should go to bed, I'm so fucking tierrrd", I've been up for hours messing around on the computer, saying hello to family, playing games with friends and couple of other things I probably shouldn't talk about. So I jumped off the computer, strut on over to my living chambers and hop on into bed, falling asleep almost instantly.

A couple hours into my peaceful sleep an ear piercing alarm starts going off, awakening me from my slumber. "huh, what's going on?". I quickly jump off the bed and sprint to the control room to check what's happening. I'm immediately greeted by the ships A.I system, I didn't exactly get a name or anything so I just call it 'kara'.

"Warning, warning, an engine malfunction has been detected, immediate landing required" Kara announced, sounding like a stereotypical A.I robot.

"A malfunction?... How? I don't know what to do", I grunted, feeling drowsy from being woken up so soon.

"Immediate landing required" kara repeated, answering my question

"landing?... Where am I meant to land? Do I need to land on planet or something!?" I questioned.

Fuck! I don't know how! What do I do! IS THE SHIP GONNA CRASH!?! I was frantic as I grew more awake, thinking up every worst case scenario as I began to understand the seriousness of the situation

Ok, ok calm down, don't think like that. The ship automatically knows how to land remember, just look for a safe place and fix the ship. I take in a couple of deep breaths as I try and calm myself before taking action.

Once calmed I command the ship, "Ok kara, find a planet nearby...with breathable air of course", It takes only a few seconds for kara to respond. "searching...unknown planet found...air suitable for passenger...unknown dan-immediate landing required", kara interjects itself, I find it weird at first but chose to just shrug it off as nothing and proceed on.

"Ok great! set a coarse to planet pleaaase", I request, my tone forcefully happy as I try and ignore the deafening alarms. "Following request... Setting coarse to unknown planet", Kara responds quickly.

Please get there in time I reaaally don't feel like dying today. I hope one last time as the ship curves and takes off in the direction of this planet.

Timeskip

Luckily the ship made it into the planets orbit... BUT! unluckily for me the ship was now hurdling towards the ground at an ungodly speed!

"WELL DONE KARA YOU'RE REALLY DOING A GREAT FUCKING JOB!", I yell out sarcastically in panic and frustration.

Maybe I can do something, ok mark focus what should I do!? I press down on my forehead and try thinking up a solution...
PARACHUTE! OF COURSE!
