Hueningkai hurriedly sprinted on the deck, the bottle clutched tightly to his chest. The captain had told him to make sure it couldn't be taken, he knew if the other pirates found it below deck, it would already be a loss for them.
Panting, he looked around for where Beomgyu was. He glanced to Captain Soobin, who had already suffered plenty of rough hits from his enemy. Hueningkai glanced to Beomgyu, who managed to chase off a member back to their own ship. Then, he looked to Soobin, fiercely dueling the other pirate captain.
Hueningkai glanced down at the map, the glass bottle now stained with his own blood from the sword cuts. He quickly tucked it in his pocket and sprinted to Soobin's aid.
Just before Captain Bang Chan was able to land another hit, Hueningkai intervened and blocked with a sharp parry. Soobin's eyes widened with shock, looking at the other.
"I told you to keep the map safe, I'll take care of the captain!"
"You looked like you needed help," Hueningkai breathed, looking behind him at Soobin, "Take the map and hand it to Beomgyu, I'll take the captain."
Hueningkai sharply kicked Bang Chan in the stomach, shoving the other back.
"Are you crazy?" Soobin exclaimed, "I told you to secure the map, I don't want you to get hurt!"
"Well what about you?" Hueningkai spat, "Look at you, Captain! Just get the map to Beomgyu and I'll hold off Bang Chan!"
Captain Bang Chan launched himself at Hueningkai, swiftly slashing the boy's arm. He gasped, falling onto one knee and clutched his arm.
"Captain, the map it's—"
Suddenly, Bang Chan grabbed the boy's collar, staring into his eyes. Hueningkai yelped, squirming in the captain's grip. He let out a scoff, smoothly taking the map out of Hueningkai's pocket.
"I'll be taking this," he smirked, dropping the other, "How kind of you to hand it over."
Soobin staggered to his feet, heavily panting from his injuries on his body. He fell back onto his knee, his hands in front of him. Hueningkai gripped his arm tightly, glancing at the captain.
Nearby, Beomgyu had seen what had happened. Quickly he jumped off of the shrouds and hurried over to the two. He skidded to a stop, kneeling down and helping the captain up.
"What the heck happened?"
"Bang Chan's a lot stronger than I thought," Soobin said between breaths, trudging forward, "He's got the map, and he hurt Hueningkai."
Beomgyu looked up at Captain Chan, and mumbled under his breath.
"Just wait here, I'll get the map back in no time at all," he smirked, reaching into his coat and grabbing out another set of knives.
"Kai, take care of the captain," Beomgyu ordered, "I'll be right back."
Meanwhile, Taehyun was fighting off Hyunjin and Felix on his own. He had parried off Hyunjin's attack, when Felix slashed him on his side swiftly.
The boy hissed, the pain stinging and causing him to drop his sword. Yeonjun quickly rushed over, but was quickly stopped by Hyunjin.
"Hey Yeonjun, it's been awhile," he smiled pleasantly, the other worriedly glancing to Taehyun.
"Step aside Hyunjin, let me help my friend," Yeonjun scowled, pointing his sword at the other. Hyunjin rolled his eyes, lowering the lance.
Before Taehyun could grab his sword, Felix grabbed his arms and pinned them behind his back. The boy scowled, kicking and squirming. Yeonjun flinched, and gulped.
Without thinking, he advanced forward and charged towards Hyunjin. The other gracefully dodged with a spin and swiftly tripped Yeonjun. The other fell with a thud, dropping his sword.
Out of breath, Yeonjun shakily reached for his sword when Hyunjin suddenly stepped on his hand. The boy winced, clenching his fist tightly.
Hyunjin grabbed Yeonjun's arms too, pinning them behind his back. The two struggled fiercely, until a blade was held to their throats.
"W-Why are you doing this?" Yeonjun said between breaths, glaring at Hyunjin.
"Captain's orders," he replied with a smile, then turned to Felix, "Tell Changbin to get the rope and tie up these two."
"Get your hands off of me!" Taehyun spat, his knees shaking from exhaustion. Yeonjun felt tears welling up in his eyes again, fighting to hold them back as he looked around on the ship.
Captain Soobin and Hueningkai were in poor condition, Beomgyu rushing to stop Chan. Yeonjun clenched his teeth, turning to Felix.
"What are you gonna do with us?" he snapped, struggling fiercely.
"Whatever the captain wants, I guess," Felix shrugged, "We could throw you overboard for a second time... Or maybe you could be of use to us."
"We already warned you this would get ugly," Hyunjin interjected with a scoff, "You were outnumbered. Just admit it Yeonjun, you've lost."
Yeonjun winced, his heart filling with dread. Hueningkai and Soobin were grabbed as well by a couple other crewmates, Beomgyu being the only one who was still free.
He was fighting the Captain, swiftly hurling out knife after knife. Captain Chan countered them with his sword. Beomgyu advanced for another attack, sprinting with all of his might.
However before he was able to even strike, Captain Chan swiftly kicked him in the stomach— hard. Beomgyu flew backwards, landing on the deck with a loud thud.
"BEOMGYU!" Hueningkai cried, "Beomgyu get up! Beomgyu!"
Soobin and Hueningkai were tied up with heavy rope, their blood staining the brown fibers. Taehyun and Yeonjun were tied up as well, harshly thrown onto the deck.
Shakily, Beomgyu clenched his fists and staggered to his feet. He glared at Captain Bang Chan, his chest heaving and clutching his arm. Wiping a few splatters of blood from his lip, he reached into his coat again.
Bang Chan rolled his eyes, looking to his crew.
"Get him."
Beomgyu quickly reached into his coat again, but was quickly stopped when Jisung dashed past him and slashed him across the chest. Beomgyu whimpered, shakily lowering his hand and falling to his knees.
He looked up at the other crew members who now surrounded him, panting heavily.
"Y-You'll... You'll never get away with this," He said between breaths, "Captain Soobin will get his revenge."
Beomgyu didn't fight back when the crewmates grabbed his arms, hauling him up. They tied his hands behind his back like the others, throwing him back on the deck.
"Looks like you've lost, Captain Soobin," Chan smirked, walking to the others. Yeonjun scowled, wriggling in the tight ropes. Soobin shakily looked up at the other captain and growled.
"I'm not... giving up just yet," Soobin murmured quietly, "I can't... I can't."
Captain Bang Chan scoffed, turning to the rest of his crew.
"Tie their ship to ours, we'll take them with us," He ordered. Obediently, the other crew mates hurried off back to their own ship to grab the rope.
Captain Soobin looked around his ship, his head tiredly resting on Hueningkai's shoulder.
"This isn't over, Chan," he murmured under his breath, glaring at the captain.
