NCR 05: Liars Can See Through Deception

I don't how much time I've wasted staring at my reflection in the mirror. I can feel my heart beating so fast and my knees trembling so bad. I want to take my eyes off of it but I want to know how far I can go. This is not the first time I tortured myself like this but this is effective in making my emotions stable afterwards. But I'm not sure if I'm taking this too much...

"That's enough, Memo," Dreamia said sternly.

It took me seconds before finally withdrawing my eyes from the mirror. I looked at Dreamia and gave her a small smile to assure her that I'm totally fine. I'm not that affected but I admit that my whole system is still having a hard time coping with it.

"What if you're wrong..?" she asked me with a hint of doubt in her voice. I heaved out a sigh and threw her a serious look.

"There's a high possibility that my doubt was just a stupid assumption. But what if it was true? We can't just leave this neglected..." I defended that made her nod as if she had no choice but to agree with me.

I discussed to them my assumptions about the dating scandal. I know that a big part of them does not believe me but I still appreciate how they gave their trust in me despite having no concrete proof. Dreamia is really bothered with my ideas but she still allowed me to do whatever I want to do. Now... I just want to prove my side... Hindi ko maintindihan kung bakit ako lang ang nakakapansin na parang hindi totoo ang mga galawan ng dalawang violators sa video.

I wore my mask and waited for the time to come. As expected and as what we have required, the violators came on time wearing civilian attire. They looked much better now compare to their reactions yesterday but I can still see the fright in their eyes. They took a seat in front of me while heads were a bit lowered. Nasa gilid ko naman sina Dreamia at Acer while Milky is finalizing his findings about the source of the video.

"I won't make this meeting long since we have a lot of things to fix after this. But I want you to value this time and say whatever you have to say. I want the truth from the both of you. I hope I am being clear," I said to them in a calm but firm way. I don't know if I'm making any sense but I want to force them to say the truth. Alam kong may hindi pa sila sinasabi sa akin.

"Akala ko ba ayos na?" Charles asked me in an annoyed tone. I raised my eyebrow on him even though he can't see me.

"We're giving you a chance to make yourself clear for the second time. Kahapon ay medyo naguguluhan pa kami at kailangan naming i-report sa principal ang tungkol dito. Ngayon, nakahanda na ang magiging decision ng Guidance at ng Student Council pero gusto pa ring naming marinig ang side niyo. Tell us everything related to the violation you have committed-"

"May desisyon na pala e? Bakit kailangan pa naming mag explain?" iritadong putol ni Charles sa sinasabi ko. It instantly made my blood boil. This disrespectful brute!

"Charles... C-Calm down..." saway ni Gianna rito pero agad din siyang napayuko nang bigyan siya ng nobyo niya kuno ng masamang tingin.

"Isa ka pa..." puno ng inis at pagod niyang balik kay Gianna. Lalo akong nairita pero sinubukan ko pa ring kalmahin ang sarili ko dahil hindi talaga ako nagwawala sa inis o galit. Gusto kong maging maayos ang takbo ng usapang ito.

"Look... We're giving you this chance to prove yourself once more and if you will act like that... then let's just proceed to the last process so that we can call your parents to come here this week," pagpapaliwanag ko at pilit na inaalis ang iritasyon sa tono.

"Ano pa ba kasing ip-prove?! Nasabi na namin 'di ba?! Ba't ba paulit-ulit?! Akala ko ba ayos na? Anong papatunayan namin? Na inosente kami? Just kick us out so we can get out of this hell!" sigaw sa'kin ni Charles na dahilan ng pagbilog ko ng mga kamao. I want to stay calmed and unbothered but this... guy.
