NCR 14: The School of Hypocrites

Two weeks have already passed. Chapter and quarter exams are over. We're in second quarter, first semester now but I felt like it's been a year already. Second week of September had just begun and the hectic preparations for Foundation Day had just also started to kill us. Organizations were swamped of load work due to higher ups' unimaginable expectations. If we were just given an ample amount of time to prepare for the Foundation Day, it would've been better. The examination and foundation day's schedules overlapped. But it doesn't really matter now. What important is we have already made a step for the event. We're also eager to do our very best because it will be an open school event. Other schools are allowed to enter the premises and celebrate with us. This is the first time that the principal allowed an event like this that's why we're hoping to satisfy the other schools. And I'm sincerely hoping that there will be not much troubles.

The student council have already organized two meetings for all the organizations in the school and we're looking forward for one more meeting. Just to make sure that every club has something to show off on the day of the event. As for the Student Council, we thought of a simple booth that will not attract too much students. We should be monitoring the students effectively that's why flashy booths are not recommended to us. Dreamia had thought of this. Our booth would be called "A Student Council Member for a Day Booth". We'll ask them to recite one rule of our school, and if they happen to recite it perfectly, then they are permitted to wear the Student Council's trademark mask. But it still has a difference from ours since we'll be getting our updated masks. There will be a design on it so I'm also looking forward to it.

Our student council adviser, Ms. Olvis, authorized us to skip our last class for the day with excuse letters. We'll be buying our materials for the booth itself. Other clubs are allowed to go home early, too but I don't really have idea about their plans. It depends on every club's strategy to manage time. But as for us, we'll be collecting everything we need for the booth since the booth isn't the main priority. It would be better if we'll prepare it earlier than expected so we won't have any problem. It may sound very boring but the Student Council will patrol non-stop on that day. We'll not focus on booths. Patrol. Rules. Patrol. Rules. Patrol. Rules.

I sighed after I checked the time on my phone. It's already 3:25 pm and our partner sergeants are still not coming. They'll be the ones who'll accompany us in purchasing the materials we need. Baka naglaro na naman! But I doubt that. They're probably busy cleaning up their clubroom. Medyo napahiya ata. I scratched the edge of my left eyebrow and tried to lengthen my patience. I'm not really impatient but not in times like this. I feel like my body's going to collapse due to exhaustion.

As much as possible, gusto niyang huwag maarawan. Tss.

I'm starting to lose my patience, too. I don't want to get mad. I may sound very calm and demure but it's definitely the opposite deep inside.

"Save your energy for the real battle later."

Even when I'm annoyed, it doesn't often show. But... that's the bad thing about it. I couldn't express it that's why anger is always bottling up inside me.
