This city's full of empty people,
Who've forgotten what they wanted,
when they were young. They work all day, then go home late,
Then stay up all night talking nonsense,
To someone who wishes they were never born.
Maybe it rains diamonds on venus
Maybe it rains and never stops, but I'd still go there
Maybe the people aren’t as lonely as they're here
Maybe there’s a chance at happiness on Venus.
This city's full of flashing lights,
And the roads are always packed and the traffic never stops,
The red lights go on flashing and yet the silence never does.
They never talk, they only hear, but never listen,
Till they hear themselves talk from the distance,
And she's too scared to look back because shes's someone, she wished she never was.
Maybe it rains diamonds on venus
Maybe it rains and never stops but I'd still go there
Maybe the people aren’t as lonely as they're here
Maybe there’s a chance at happiness on Venus.
