Yes I'm back, and this time with a topic that's already been spoken about quite a lot,

By both feminists,

and by men who go back home and do the same thing they've spoken against,

And by people who fail to criminalise it, because they're scared.

Which brings us back to the same question,

Will giving women rights take away a man's?

And in a society that thinks a penis is a privilege,

Its obvious that vaginas are vulnerable targets.

My quetsions is when did a woman get reduced to her genitals,

And when did a man become superior due to his ability to have forced sex.

But in this situation, he isn’t the one whose being forced this time,

It's his wife, his lover, the woman he calls 'mine',

And her 'no' falls on deaf ears,

As he strips off her layers,

Of clothing she's hidden behind,

In hopes he'll find her ugly and leave her alone at night.

But he doesn't,

He doesn't, he just waits and waits,

Until his temper rises and his calm disappears,

And he slams her into the bed and he's in a rush..

Her screams are muffled by an awful hush,

And the tears fall from her eyes,

Slide down her cheeks, as her heart bleeds,

The man she loved was killing her slowly,

He was doing disgusting things to her, but she couldn't think of him lowly.

And there's nothing pious about marriage if there's no consent,

And it doesn't matter if there's vermilion on her forehead,

It doesn’t matter if you'll ever be sorry, or whether you'll regret,

your actions, because you're not in love if its rape.

And it doesn't matter if you're pissed, if you're suggestions at having sex have been denied,

Because you don't have the right to force yourself on another person, even if it's your child's mother,

Because one day what's happening to your wife could happen to your sister, your friend, your daughter,

Will you still use being married as an excuse then?

And enough about the women what about the men?

The unwanted touch on his shoulder, down his chest,

As her finger nails graze his skin and he shivers,

He hates those three words, ' be a man' she whispers.

She slips her dress off her body and he closes his eyes as she looks at him,

Like she's about to devour him like a piece of meat,

and there's nothing loving about the whole ordeal,

Because there's only lust in her eyes, and it's dread that he feels.

And why doesn’t he push her off you ask?

Because you've forced him to hide behind that stud wali mask.

Because men just love sex don't they?

Don't they want to sleep with hot women, everyday?

No.

That's one word that he or she or they wanted you to respect.

One word.

That's all they said.

That's all that one should ever need to say to make you leave them alone.

Because rape is rape,

Irrespective of who it happens to and who does it.

Irrespective of whether its your boyfriend, girlfriend, best friend, wife or husband.

Because if they cannot respect your choice, they shouldn’t be allowed to be around you either.

And marital rape isn’t ok because getting raped isn't what you get for trusting a man or a woman, irrespective of gender or sexuality.

It isn’t what you deserve for loving a man or a woman, irrespective of gender or sexuality.

No, marital rape is NOT ok.
