Adalina's POV.

It's been a week since the fight. Ever since that day, I haven't seen Aslan and his gang. It's so weird how they always disappear for like weeks at a time.

Ayla and I were at the bubble tea shop near our school to grab drinks during our lunch. We were both discussing our favourite K-pop groups when we saw Miran getting into the shop.

"Not him again" Ayla didn't seem too happy to see him.

Shortly, his friends also joined. I locked eyes with Aslan for a second before breaking eye contact remembering how he didn't even care to ask me if I was okay.

"Hey girls, didn't think we would see you here!" Miran exclaimed.

They stood near us while we were waiting for our drinks to be ready. Zahara and Ahmed were also here. She was giving me glares.

"What do you guys want?"Ayla asked rolling her eyes.

"Don't worry, we're also here to get drinks," Miran reassured.

"You better be" Ayla replied.

"Here's your drinks," the lady said, giving us our drinks.

We grabbed our drinks and walked out of the shop. I followed Ayla from behind when someone grabbed onto my arm making me turn. My eyes met Aslan's in surprise as I dropped my drink on him and I.

Why did he pull me like that?! Ya Allah!

He looked a bit surprised but I was mad now. I didn't even get to take a sip of my drink! Ugh! And, my sweatshirt is all dirty now.

Ayla looked at us shocked.

"What the hell?!" She was about to get in defence mode but I stopped her.

"It's my fault" I lied to her.

"Really?" she asked.

"I'll go clean myself in the bathroom" I told her before going back in and into the girls' bathroom.

I was cleaning my shirt when Aslan walked scaring the shit out of me.

"Can you stop showing up like that out of nowhere—also this is the girls' bathroom," I said.

"Can you help me clean my shirt?" he asked as I froze. What did he just say?

"Why can't you just clean it yourself?" I asked.

He showed me his right hand which was wrapped in a bandage.

"Ya Allah! What happened to you?!" I grabbed his hand concerned. He kept silent staring at me.

"Help me" he said.

"Don't move, I'll clean it for you" Consider it charity, nothing else.

His gaze was burning holes through me.

"There you go, it's done" I said washing my hands.

I dried my hands and was going to step out when he stood in front of me.

"W-what are you doing?" I asked stuttering. I could feel my heart beating a little too fast. Why is he so close to me? There are butterflies in my stomach.

He wasn't saying anything. It's as if we were both just letting the silence create a tension and let it speak for us.

"I don't think I can hold on for too long" he said.
