9 - Blood in the Water

Team 7 was walking back to the village after a successful mission to the land of waves. This mission was originally supposed to be a normal C-rank, their first to be exact, but it was bumped up to an A-rank due to the missing nin, Momochi Zabuza wanting to kill their client, Tazuna. When the bridge that Tazuna was building was almost finished, Zabuza and his underling Haku showed up to try and stop them.

Naruto was still trying to comprehend all that happened during his and Sasuke's final fight with Haku.

-flashback-

Sasuke has just been trapped inside Haku's demonic ice mirrors when he hears a familiar voice call out to him. "Hey Sasuke, need some help?" He heard Naruto ask him.

"Dobe? What the hell are you doing in here? Why did you come in here?" Sasuke asked angerly. "I just thought you might need some help teme." Naruto answered.

Taking advantage of the confusion, Haku started throwing senbon at the two, making them have to dodge. All of the mirrors now had an image of Haku on it, and it appeared as if all of them were throwing senbon at the same time. Neither of the genin could keep up.

Naruto got hit in the leg, making him fall to his knees. Haku, seeing this, threw more senbon at him. Sasuke seeing this saw that the senbon were slowing down slightly while in the air. 'The hell?' He thought as he raced towards Naruto to protect him.

Naruto grunted as he tried to get up to his feet when a shadow suddenly covered him. He looked up to see Sasuke pierced with senbon everywhere. Sasuke fell back and Naruto caught him before he hit the ground. "Why did you do this Sasuke?" He asked his friend. "I don't know. My body just...moved on its own." After he said that, he passed out with Naruto looking down at him.

"I'm sorry Naruto, but I have to do this." Haku said as he took out more senbon. Suddenly, a massive amount of KI flooded the area, making everybody stop, including Kakashi and Zabuza, who were fighting their own battle. Haku saw Naruto slowly get up as a red aura started to surround him. Naruto continued to look down, but still jumped to where the real Haku was and punched the mirror so hard, it shattered into a million pieces, and sent Haku flying towards where Zabuza was.

Haku landed in front Zabuza knocked out, and with a completely destroyed mask. Zabuza looked up to the sound of footsteps walking towards him, to find the blonde brat, only now, he seems serious.

Naruto walked to Zabuza while still looking down, his headband shadowing his eyes, and an emotionless look on his face. Sakura, who was protecting Tazuna, could barely stand, but she still looked at Naruto in horror. She's never seen one person emit so much hatred before. The only thing that came close to this was one time when she was almost 10, the village was engulfed in a massive amount of KI similar to this. While that was still much more than this amount, it's still nothing to laugh at, it was still enough to make genin level shinobi pass out.

She tried to speak out to him, but no words came out, her vision faded into darkness, passing out for good.

Kakashi was still in awe at what he was seeing, genin like him shouldn't be able to make this much KI. Then again, it could very well be the kyuubi doing this, he'll have to ask the hokage about this when he gets back.

Naruto slowly lowered the amount of KI he was producing to low levels. Before he could get the chance to attack, they all heard a voice behind Naruto.
