Oisin has always been someone who's inclined to help others in any way he can, he knows what it's like to feel hopeless and to hit rock bottom in life and receive a beacon of light during that time, and actively tries to serve as that helping hand for others who might be in a similar state of nearly giving up. Despite his good intent his social skills are quite rough even in the less regal parts of society, he struggles to pick up on people's more subtle cues people give off and refuses to adjust his behavior and mannerisms to make others more comftorble with his presence, and even when he does try to soften his approach he still can come off as rude or impolite. This proclaimed witch is a very straight forward and honest person, he sees no point in sugar coating things in most situations or evading the issue at hand just too ease people into it, so if you need anyone to come and give a truthful opinion without worrying about people trying to be nice or please you, he's your guy. Unfortunately, his honesty can end up being quite... harsh at times due to his problems surrounding politeness and tone, not bothering to even try phrasing things in a way that isn't hurtful since he doesn't want people to misinterpret what he says or feel like he's lying by being nice about his delivery. Oisin is a self-assured individual, he doesn't need the approval or validation of the people around him to know his worth as a person or believe in his skills and abilities, mockery or ridicule have little to no effect on him even when masked as criticism. He doesn't bother making a good impression on people even when he's trying to help them, because the opinions of others have such little value to him aside from genuinely constructive critiques he sees no point in putting in the effort to be liked, he's still kind to people he just doesn't actually try to be seen in a positive light. After having to rely so much on himself growing up he is a very independent person, he doesn't need to rely on others to get things done and actually works at his best when doing things by himself instead of with another party involved, he's learned how to thrive with minimal or no assistance from others. This brunette is likely one of the worst communicaters you'll run into in your life time, he has absolutely no idea what he's doing when it comes to properly expressing and speaking about his emotions, he'd much rather just avoid talking about it and try to deal with something alone instesd of seeking the help he needs.
