❝Zaida daant nikalny ki zaroorat nahi hai❞
“So… we're getting married?”“Yes.”
“For real?”
“Yes.”
“So that means I get to call you baby whenever I want?”
“Ye— no.”
“Why not? You called me love.”
“Because you are love.”
Her next sentence got stuck in her throat at his cheeky response and she narrowed her eyes when she caught the small smirk playing on his lips. He was driving her car to drop her home and had called one of his workers to get his own from the amusement park and leave it at the penthouse for him.
“Don't try to be smart with me, Shazy.” she said in a strict tone but inside her stomach was doing somersaults.
Shazain turned his head to pass her a short innocent look. “Smart? I think it's called being charming, Rabeel.”
The redhead scoffed while twisting her head the other way to hide her crimson cheeks. This bugger had backfired her own game at her.
“Wait until I un-qabool you in front of the imam.” she threatened.
Shazain laughed at her attempt and said, “Is that even a word?”
“Shut up.”
“Okay, love.”
“Shazy!”
“What?”
“Stop calling me that!”
“Stop calling you what?” he asked with his tongue in cheek and she glared at him.
“Stop. Calling. Me. Love.” she hissed through clenched teeth and he threw her a faux confused stare. “Why though?”
“Because it's… it's…” she sputtered as her cheeks caught fire once again.
“It's making your heart race?” he offered as he maneuvered the car through the familiar street and his expression turned sombre when he recalled the last time he had been here.
When Rabeel had told him to drive her back to her previous address, he had asked her why she was not living with her grandfather to which she had replied with; “I'm an independent woman, Shazy. I can live wherever I want and that place feels more like a home compared to that gigantic excuse of a house.”
Apparently, she had officially bought the apartment instead of paying rent as she used to and Shazain was quite happy for her.
“Tameez se raho, Shazy. Nahi tou mein tumhary sath resort pe kaam nahi karun gi.”
