❝Dimag baich tou nahi aya kahin?❞
Rabeel was positive that she had blinked at least a thousand times at Shazain's words before allowing her mouth to open up and form a response (which was proving to be a hard task).“I… dinner?” she repeated his words dumbly before shaking her head. “No, I'm good. Just go back.”
She made a move to close the door but Shazain immediately stopped her by throwing his arm in between the creek. The redhead let out an impatient groan.
“You're making me so mad right now!” she grumbled but he only gave her a very innocent look in return, making her heart melt slightly.
“I'm sorry. But if we don't sort it out now, then it'll continue to go downhill. And trust me, Rabeel, I'm not a fan of sharing awkward glances from across a street.” he told her in a soft yet firm tone and she clenched her teeth.
She didn't want to give in so easily but the man in front of her was making it really hard for her to stay angry at him by the way he was staring at her with those dark, shining eyes and a childlike expression on his face.
'Shame on myself for falling for his good looks and charm!' She scolded herself internally before letting out a loud sigh and lightly banging her head against the edge of the door, making Shazain look at her in concern.
“Fine, you idiot! I'll go on this blasted dinner with you. But remember that it doesn't mean I've forgiven you.” she stated with a stinky look in her eyes and finally slammed the door shut at his face.
Shazain blinked a few times at the door before sighing and stepping away from it. He raised his hand to run through his silky black curls and turned on his feet to face the street. At least he has a chance to turn her mood.
Hopefully.
He waited outside for at least fifteen minutes before Rabeel decided to come out, dressed in a white turtle-neck underneath a grey Parka and black jeans with off-white ankle boots. Shazain's eyebrows shot up at her attire and she narrowed her green eyes.
“What?”
“Um… nothing.” he muttered in fear while looking down at his own button-up and slacks. He felt overly dressed up now. Rabeel noticed him doing that and smiled smugly.
'He really expected me to come out in a dress? What a fool.'
Shazain suddenly cleared his throat and gestured for her to start walking down the steps and towards his car which was parked near the sidewalk. Rabeel jutted out her chin and passed by him with an expression of indifference before reaching the car and moving her hand to open the door. Shazain was quick though, because he was at her side in a blink and was opening the door for her, making her give him an irritated look.
