chapter twelve

soobin pov:

as we walked through the forest (a.n is that a forest???? i don't know how to describe ._.), i soon heard voice of our classmates, with felix's and y/n's laughter being the most prominent. as it was awfully silent, i turned around to look at y/f/n. there she was, sleeping soundly on my back.

guess she could even fall asleep like that... awh she looks so cute behind me sleeping like this... CHOI SOOBIN WHAT ARE YOU THINKING- "look! isn't that soobin?" i heard a voice call as i was brought back to reality. i slowly shook the sleeping y/f/n on my back, trying to wake her up as i felt movement on my back.

"oh, we're back," a sleepy y/f/n asked. "yeah, wake up," i called. "okay, i'm awake," she said. "hey, are you two okay?" felix asked, running over. "yeah, everything's okay," i replied.

"you two, where did you both go, and what happened to y/f/n?" mr han asked. "she just scraped her leg... is there any medical equipment for me to deal with her wound here?" i asked. "oh yes, there's a medical box in there, just go get it. after you're done, just report to me. the other students will be engaged in a different activity," mr han said, pointing to a tent not far away.

"okay, thank you mr han, we will get going," i said. i carried y/f/n into the tent and got her to sit on the ground, with her legs out straight. "one moment, i'll go get the medical box, wait here," i said. i went to where mr han pointed to and got the medical box. 

"okay, let's see... ah okay, i'll just bandage the wound after applying some antiseptic," i said, finding the antiseptic. "thank you soobin," she said. "hm?" i asked, looking at her. "really... thank you... you've done so much for me already, but i still don't get it. why?" she asked. 

why? i wasn't sure either. seeing y/f/n, i had an urge to protect her somehow. i don't actually know what's going on with me, or why i was so protective over her. "uh- as i said, you're one of the only friends i've had since young, i guess it's natural to care for a friend, right?" i asked.

"ah okay..." she said, looking down. "are you okay? you don't look that great," i said. "oh, it's fine..." she said.

y/f/n pov:

"thank you soobin," i said. "hm?" he asked, looking at me. "really... thank you... you've done so much for me already, but i still don't get it. why?" i asked. "uh- as i said, you're one of the only friends i've had since young, i guess it's natural to care for a friend, right?" he asked.

i felt happy and sad at the same time, i've never felt like that before. it's great he's caring for me and all that, but, he sees me as a friend only... somehow, disappointment filled me. maybe i have fallen for him... 

but even if i have, i guess i'll have to hold it back in. why? cuz i didn't want to get hurt again. seeing y/n and felix together, i was really jealous every time, and i don't want that to happen again. even if i didn't have feelings for soobin, it's time for me to treat him as just a normal friend...
