Chapter 07

I had a good sleep and I'm looking forward to have a good day today.

Matapos akong yakapin ni Liam kagabi, umiyak man ako ay alam kong sobra niyang napagaan ang loob ko.

I don't know what magic he used but even though he's holding me, I feel free. It's such an amazing feeling to be hugged by someone taller than me because I feel protected.

Hugging Liam feels like I'm... sheltered.

With him, I don't have to explain myself.

With him, I don't have to mask my emotions.

With him, I don't have to be someone I am not.

Hanggang ngayon ay malinaw pa rin sa akin kung paano ko siya mahinang tinulak para makita ang mga mata niya. He's too tall for me that I have to look up to him.

He flashes a warm smile and wipes my tears away, using the pad of his thumb, without taking his ocean eyes off me.

"The birthday girl shouldn't be sad on her special day," he softly said, making me smile but suppress it.

"I could conclude that it's already 12 midnight so my birthday has been ended."

"We could extend the celebration if you want to."

Hindi ko na napigilan ang pagkawala ng ngiti sa labi ko. Why is this guy so thoughtful?

As soon as he sees me smiling, his beam grew bigger. "You look lovelier when you're wearing that smile so smile often."

"That's because of you. So thank you for killing my sadness and making me smile."

I lifted my hand to give him a thumbs-up.

"You're such a good friend."

I don't know how do I look like because I couldn't help but smile from ear to ear while remembering what happened last night. Hanggang sa makababa ako.

As soon as I went down, it weirded me out. Because I couldn't see any maids cleaning around.

Nawala lang ang atensyon ko roon nang makita si Pascal. Agad siyang tumahol at tumakbo papunta sa akin.

Nakangiti akong lumuhod sa harapan niya at niyakap siya. I chuckle when he licked the side of my face while wiggling his tail. He's also trying to embrace me even if he can't. How clingy!

But when I let go of him, he ran away. Parang gusto niyang magpahabol kaya wala akong nagawa kung hindi ang habulin siya. He probably wants to play.

Ngunit kumunot ang noo ko nang makapunta sa garden kung saan tumakbo si Pascal.

In just a matter of seconds, my eyes widened as my mouth dropped open. Everyone's there—the maids, cooks, drivers, and guards—and they're all smiling at me with different colors of balloons in their hands.

"Happy birthday, Vivi!" they all greeted in chorus.

A smile automatically lifted on my lips when I saw Liam holding a round cake. As he walks towards me, others started singing a happy birthday song while clapping their hands. Napanguso ako ngunit ginaya rin ang pagkanta at pagpalakpak nila kaya tumawa sila.

"Happy birthday," Liam greeted when he was just inches away from me. He moves his hands up and down to gesture the cake. "Make a wish and blow the candle."

Just like what he inquires, I closed my eyes and whispered a wish.

Matapos ang anim na taon, humiling ako ng kahilingang naiiba sa nagdaang hiling ko.

At umaasa akong matupad iyon.

When I opened my eyes, I immediately blow the candle and flashes a smile.
