Chapter 24

"I'm sorry that I need to have my security blanket in order to sleep," I shyly whispered after Liam took the soft blanket from my luggage.

He smiled and sat on his seat, beside me. "Ayos lang. Normal lang 'yon. I actually find it cute, Vivienne."

I lifted a smile before I unfold the blanket so I can share it with Pascal who's sleeping on my other side. Malapit siya sa cabin window dahil gustung-gusto niya na tumingin sa labas sa tuwing nagt-travel kami. And, now, he slept out of exhaustion.

"Do you want me to braid your hair first?" tanong ni Liam. "Para makatulog ka nang maayos."

"Okay."

He smiled as I slowly turned my back at him so that I can't disturb Pascal in his sleep. Liam behind me started running his fingers through my hair like he used to do.

Super gamay na niya ang pagtirintas sa buhok ko. He even knows different braid hairstyles. When I asked him how did he learn about that, he said that he's watching tutorials on YouTube and he's asking Jezra for her long hair to practice.

Nang matapos siya sa pagtali sa buhok ko, inayos niya rin ang blanket para masakop no'n ang kabuuan ng lower limbs ko. Then he gently holds my head to let me rest it on his shoulder blade. I smiled and tucked him on the blanket so that we were all warm. Then I reached for his head, too. I gently pull it so he could rest it beside my head.

Under the blanket, I felt him reach for my hand and squeeze it softly. I let out a soft chuckle before I close my eyes and take a nap.

We're going to Coron, Palawan to celebrate Liam's graduation and birthday. And for him to personally introduce me to his dad.

We're not together yet. He's courting me pa. I know it's taking long but it's not required to rush things in relationship naman. Sabi nga nila, hindi dapat minamadali ang mga bagay na gusto mong tumagal.

But he already talked to dad. I don't know how it went but just like what he said before, he will still date me no matter what happens.

And he is... now.

"That's my Dad right there," Liam declared as he pointed out a man leaning against a white van.

Nilingon ko siya habang kagat ang aking ibabang labi. Bigla akong nakaramdam ng kaba at hiya. Because this is my first time a loved one will introduce me to his loved one. I don't know how will I act nor say.

Humigpit ang yakap ko sa buhat kong si Pascal habang iniisip iyon. Ngunit kaagad na humalakhak si Liam, naramdaman siguro ang titig ko.

"Mabait siya, mahal. 'Di mo kailangan kabahan."

I wonder how Liam perceives what's inside my head? Does he have magic or he just really knows me too well?

Ang bitbit niyang duffel bag ay inilagay niya sa kabilang kamay upang mahapit ang baywang ko. He even squeezed the side of it like he's assuring me that there's nothing to be nervous about.

"Son!" said the tall, dark brown-eyed man with perfect sculpted jaws like Liam, has thin pinkish lips, aristocratic nose, and thick eyebrows.

Para akong nakatingin sa matandang Liam; less the dark brown eyes. Actully, he's not matanda. Super bata niya tingnan, parang walang anak na magt-twenty one.
