EPILOGUE

"Derrick, tara na! Baka ma-late tayo!"

Kanina pa nag-aaya si Kaitlyn na umalis dahil graduation ngayon ng kambal sa college, and graduation rin ngayon ni Dashiell sa senior high. Graduation rin ngayon ng anak ni Gwyneth na si Sev ng 4th year. Dahil nga mag-jowa sila ng anak ko ay nagpa-adjust ng grade level si Sev para makasama si Aura.

"Ito na! Tara na!" Sigaw ko pabalik.

The kids are already in their school. At dahil nga magkahiwalay ang school ng kambal at ni Dashiell, ay una kaming pumunta kay Dashiell dahil mas maaga ang sa kanila. Sa kambal kasi ay hapon pa naman ang start.

"Nandoon na daw sina Ari sa school ni Dash, tayo nalang ang hinihintay! Dalian mo!" Kait already went outside of the house.

We're both wearing white today to look a bit formal. Naka white formal dress siya, habang ako ay naka white dress shirt. I wanted to look my best today especially for my twins.

Sinundan ko na ang asawa ko sa labas dahil ayaw na ayaw niyang nalalate lalo na sa mga ganitong okasyon. She wants to be there just on time for her kids, and that is one thing I admired most about her.

"Let's go," I said and opened the door for her to get inside.

Once she got inside, I turned around to the driver's seat and went in. I started the car and immediately drove to Dashiell's school. It wasn't that far since it was the twins' old school. Dito kasi gustong mag-aral ni Dashiell dahil malaki daw dito. Habang ang kambal ay nasa Ateneo.

When we got to the school, many cars were parked at the carpark. Hindi naman ako nahirapang mag-hanap ng parking dahil iisa lang naman ang parking spot ko dito.

Pumasok na kami sa school ni Dash at saka pumunta doon sa auditorium ng school nila, dahil doon lagi ginaganap ang graduation ceremonies.

"Good morning po, Mr. and Mrs. Montevilla. You could sit right next to your daughters, and I heard na graduation din nila ngayon sa college so I wanted to congratulate you guys as well. you raised your children very well," the principal greeted.

"Good morning, Mrs. Gumabao. Thank you," Kait smiled.

"Thank you, Mrs. Gumabao," pagsasalamat ko rin.

"You're very welcome," the principal smiled. "Better take a seat now your children are waiting for you," she chuckled.

Napaalam na kami para makaupo na kami sa tabi nina Aria. Katabi rin nila ang magulang ni Jazrielle kaya naman binati rin namin sila.

The whole ceremony went on very well. Nang si Dashiell na ang tawagin maraming pumalakpak, at maraming naghiyawan. Pinakamalakas ay galing doon sa mga tropa niya.

At the end, tinawag nanaman si Dashiell para sa Words of Gratitude. Kinindatan pa ako ng kumag bago siya tuluyang magsalita.

"Dear Classmates and Schoolmates... Parents and Guardians... Teachers and School Staffs... A pleasant morning to you all!" Dashiell started.

"I would like to start off my Words of Gratitude, with a warm congratulations to every student in this batch!" He said and the crowd clapped their hands. "This day had finally come when we realize that all of our efforts and sacrifices to make it here, was really worth it. But of course, we wouldn't make it without our teachers who managed to give us their time each day just to teach us new lessons. Not only study lessons but also life lessons that we could bring until we grow up."
