Chapter 7

R-18.

"Shut up, Dashiell. You're going to wake Mom and Dad up."

I woke up, when I heard some voices. But I was still too tired, so I didn't even bother to open my eyes.

"Aray naman, Ate!" Rinig kong reklamo ni Dashiell.

"Ano ba, Adley! Pag nagising talaga si Mommy at Daddy kakaltukan kita!" Rinig ko rin ang boses i Aura.

Maya-maya ay bigla silang nanahimik. Itutuloy ko na sana ang pag-tulog ko, nang maramdaman ko na may yumuyugyog sa balikat ko.

"Mommy, Daddy.. wake up," I heard Aria.

I slowly opened my eyes, and so did Derrick. We both sat up straight, and I even scratched my eyes that's why blurry pa ang vision ko. When my vision started getting clear, I saw a cake with candles.

17 ang nakalagay sa kandila.

"W-what's this?" Derrick asked.

"Okay... 1.. 2.. 3.. Happy anniversary, Mom and Dad!" They all said.

I looked at the calendar, and noticed that it's April 16th.

It is.. it is our anniversary. Our 17th anniversary.

"Happy anniversary, Mami at Papi!" Sabi naman ni Dashiell.

"Thank you, loves," I smiled.

Lumapit si Aura na may dalang cake, at saka inabot sa 'min. Kinuha naman 'yon ni Derrick, at nilagay sa harapan naming dalawa.

He looked at me, and I looked at him as well. He smiled.

"Happy 17th wedding anniversary, love," he smiled.

"Happy anniversary," I smiled.

"Ihipan niyo na kandila, Mami at Papi! Tagal naman e," reklamo ni Dash.

"Shut up," sabi naman ni Ari.

I laughed and looked at the kids. When I looked at the three of them, they smiled and stood up straight. I looked back at our cake.

"Make a wish," Derrick whispered.

"Ikaw din," I smiled.

We both closed our eyes, and made our wished.

I wish... we continue on living like a normal and happy family.

After that, I opened my eyes and Derrick did also. We both blew the candles, and we heard the children's applause.
