"Now it's three in the morning, Turner." Elizabeth said, rubbing her eyes and yawning, "This better be important."Alex then plummeted into Elizabeth's arms, sunglasses falling off and she can barely keep him up. The stench of alcohol was as clear as day.
"Oh you reek!" Elizabeth exclaimed. His cologne failed to block out the smell which lie on him. She helped the young man onto her couch, and he lie there while she closed her front door and locked it.
Elizabeth picked up his sunglasses off the ground and placed them on the kitchen counter, before she walked over to Alex and brushed his hair out of his face with the tip of her finger.
It's quite obvious that he's hammered, so it made Elizabeth wonder if Alex went back to the boys and had a drink? Something that also crossed her mind is why Alex decided to come here of all places. Why not the hotel?
Of course Elizabeth had been in this situation before, Alex always seemed to be the one that got the most intoxicated, so she knew how to handle the situation.
And he always managed to come crawling back to her, back to her apartment.
Elizabeth walked over to the kitchen, took a glass from the shelf and filled it up with water, setting it by his side on the table. She placed a blanket next to him if he needs it, but she knew that he'll be sweating the whole night. She then made herself comfortable on the sofa next to him, she didn't want him to awake and hurt himself in some way.
Elizabeth always seemed to wake up easily during the night, so if Alex were to get up from his seat, she'd know.
After a few attempts of trying to get back to sleep by changing her body position, she gave up and just stayed awake, staring into the corner of the room, letting her thoughts occupy her mind.
Perhaps the reason she couldn't get some rest was because the thought of Alex occupied her mind, or it was because Alex wouldn't stop mumbling random words during the morning, causing Elizabeth to be slightly creeped out.
Elizabeth stepped up from her seat and went to the balcony which is next to the living room. She quietly slid open the door and slipped out watching the sun rise. If she were to be completely honest she was exhausted, but she knew that there was no point in getting some rest because Alex will wake up eventually, and Elizabeth wanted to make sure that he doesn't throw up on her carpet, or couch.
And to make sure he was okay.
After a few minutes of watching the sun rise over the apartment buildings ahead of her, Elizabeth decided to head back inside, careful not to awake the snoring Alex, though she doubt he could wake up due to his current state.
She began to make breakfast, and once she'd finished and set the two plates at the counter she heard Alex scrambling around.
"Ah! He awakes!" Elizabeth said, pouring orange juice into two glasses, then placing the bottle back into the fridge.
Elizabeth walked over to Alex and sat in the sofa beside him that she previously tried sleeping in earlier this morning.
Alex began coughing, "Don't get any spew anywhere! Here, a bowl." Elizabeth exclaimed, handing a large bowl over to Alex from her side, and he instantly hurled into it.
Elizabeth stood up and walked to Alex, pushing the loose strands of hair out of his face and holding it up so it's not in his way. She patted his back slightly as he vomited some more. He wiped the corners of his mouth with the sleeve of his shirt then places the nearly full bowl onto the table beside him, before laying back down and placing his hands over his head.
