☆Chapter 13: Calling Mama ☆

☆ Brooklyn's POV

"August why didn't you tell me that the kiss Trey and I shared still bothered you?" I questioned him as he laid on my belly.

"It didn't at first but now the more I think about it the more angrier I get." August replied back.

"Well I'm glad you're over it now." I said with a smile.

"Yeah me too." He said leaning over and kissing me.

"I can't wait till she/he is born." I said looking down at my belly.

"Me too. When are we gonna tell our mom's about the baby." August asked while playing in his hair.

"Oh shit I forgot about telling them. I need to tell my mom before she gets mad that I didn't tell her first." I snapped getting up to get my cellphone.

Once I grabbed my phone I quickly called my mom.

"Hello?" She spoke picking up on the third ring.

She must have been sleep.

"Hey mama!" I yelled into the phone.

"Hey to you young lady. Haven't heard from you in a while." My mom scolded me.

I sighed. "I'm sorry mom I've just been very busy." I apologized.

"Too busy to talk to Ya old woman huh?" She said.

I could hear the sadness in her voice.

"I'm so sorry mom!" I pleaded into the phone.

I am truly sorry that I haven't been talking to my mom like I'm suppose to.

"So why did you call me anyways? You only call me when you want something or when there's something important going on." She answered back.

You see my mom be knowing when something's going on. It's been like this since Niya and I were younger. She would always know when one of us needed to tell her something.

"I don't think it should be said over the phone so I think I'm coming down to California this weekend." I explained to her.

"It must be something really important? Please tell me it's not something horrible!" She cried into the phone.

"It's nothing bad mom. It's just better if I tell you in person." I assured her.

"Okay honey. How are you and your little boyfriend doing?" She asked me.

I smiled. "We're doing fine." I replied back while looking over at August who just fell asleep.

"That's good baby. I'll see you this weekend." My mom said.

"I'll see you. Bye mom and I love you." I spoke into the phone.

"Bye baby , I love you too, and be safe." She said before I hung up.

Looks like we're taking a little trip down to Cali.
