He was on his way to VANTAE.co when suddenly he felt a little under the weather. Taehyung had quite a bit of sniffles and cough so he put on a mask before he got down the car to get some hot chocolate. It was the same coffee shop they went to while their third soulmate was still alive. They knew that it was somewhat rude not to mention his name, but that name just held so much memories that they can't help but tear up whenever they said it. They do hope that one day the sweet name that they used to call whenever they were feeling down would slip past their lips once more in a bitter sweet pleasure.

The bell that hung above the cafe door rung as the breathtakingly handsome CEO stepped into the cozy coffee shop, turning heads each step he took. His steps lead him to the counter where he orders his favorite, hot choco. Though it didn't help that while his drink was being made he wasn't able to find a seat. Last minute he spotted a vacant once by the big window.

He quickly took his drink, paid, then ran as fast as he could with a hot drink still clutched in his hand. It just wasn't his day it seemed, there was another man, looks to be the same age as him, who had also wanted to the seat. So he shouted

"Hey! That's my-...seat..." But the words just seemed to get choked in his throat when he got a good look at the man's face. It can't be, there was no way...

Eventually, as he stood there, still shocked. The man took this opportunity to have the seat for himself.

But Taehyung still couldn't believe it. As tears started to swell in his eyes, the man asked him what was wrong.

"Dude, if you want the seat so bad you can have it. No need to cry" the stranger- no! This man's face and figure was no stranger to Taehyung. Nevertheless, the man still got up, things packed up and his coffee in his hand, ready to leave and surrender the seat to the CEO.

He can't leave, not again, Taehyung thought. Even if Taehyung knew there was no chance of this person being who he thinks he is, he still can't take any chances. So as he mustered up what's left of his soul and courage, he called for the man.

"Wait!"

But sadly he was already out the door. With the bell once again ringing, also signaling that a customer had just left. Also leaving behind a Taehyung who's wounds of the past just reopened.

His drive to Vantae was cancelled and instead he was speeding through the roads of Seoul to get to Jin and Namjoon's house. The two we're now happily married and had a handsome son named Kim Seokoon. Taehyung was on the way to their house because the whole 'squad' was there, including Jungkook and Yoona.

Curses began spilling out of Taehyungs mouth when the light turned red. Panic and adrenaline was coursing through his veins from the earlier events. He picked up his phone from the passenger seat, angry fingers banging onto the screen. A beeping noise was heard before it turned into ringing and then his fiance with the background of many voices.

"Tae? Is something wrong in the office?"

"I didn't go to work"

"Why? Did something happen?"

"Yeah, something very... unexpected. It's-We can't talk over the phone, it's too important"

"You're on your way here aren't you? Tae we can talk about this at home, just go to work for now-"

"No! I mean, no. Sorry I didn't mean to yell, I just need to talk about this with everyone, not just us two"

"That serious? Alright then, be careful, I love you. Yoona, princess! Come over here and say goodbye to appa!"

"Buh-bye appa! Love you, muah!"

"Bye princess, love you too. Muah muah muah!"

*Beep*

As the line drops Taehyung's heart does too, as he remembers that he doesn't know anything about the person he just saw in the cafe. He doesn't know whether he would see him again, so there really was not much point to telling the others.

But he had to, he has too. Jimin wasn't only important to he and Jungkook, Jimin was also a dear friend to their hyung's and keeping this from them would be selfish. It's just right to tell them and disregards his own fears for now.

It was both a flash and a decade to reach the house of Jin and Namjoon. His hands were sweaty and his steps were short as he walked up to the from door. He knocked once, then twice, but didn't need to knock three times for the door to open.

"Tae, love what's wrong? You look pale and you're sweating really bad" Jungkook, Taehyung's fiance and soulmate, put the back of his hand on the nervous man's forehead, feeling if he had a fever. Taehyung shakily took his fiance's hand off of him and instead held it in his own sweaty one's. "I can't- It's-....Let's go inside"

The couple entered the home and sat on one of the couches. Jin, sensing that there seemed to be some tension, quickly dismissed the children to go play in Seokoon's play room upstairs. Once the children were all away and playing, the adults started to talk. First it was Jin, asking what in the world was going on and why Taehyung wasn't at work. Then it was Yoongi, silencing Jin and urging the couple to speak up because in his own words

"Either one of you fess up or Yoona's gonna stay with us, because we all know that you two are a complete mess when there's a problem you can't solve"

However Taehyung wasn't afraid about that, he was afraid that everything would come back to haunt him once the story slips out of his mouth and he himself starts to believe that what he saw definitely wasn't just an illusion. It took a couple minutes of tensioned silence for him to muster up some courage to tell the boys what had happened. But he eventually did.

Everyone was in shock, denial, and we're even starting to tear up. Out of everything, this was the least that they expected. I mean their friend had been dead for 3 years already, how in the world did Taehyung see him again today?

But most of all Jungkook was angry, he was mad that Taehyung was joking around about their soulmates death. Claiming that he saw him, even if he had already passed 3 years ago. Jungkook thinks that it's ridiculous, which drove him to take Yoona and leave. Not forever, just until he cools down enough to face Taehyung and tell him how wrong this all was and that he shouldn't be mentioning Jimin's name in such absurd ways.

Though after all that, Taehyung understood why Jungkook left. He understood that it wasn't because he didn't believe, it was because he believes so much and it scares him. Taehyung knows that the younger still to this day blames himself for Jimin's death which is also why Taehyung allowed Jungkook to leave without restriction. He knew what the boy needed, and that was some time to think, rethink everything and muster up even more courage to move on. Move on and let go of loose hopes that lay low on the ground.

Loose hopes that he didn't know would come back to life.
