I need to go touch some grass

The performer looked at themselves in the mirror.
Unsatisfied, they applied more eyeliner to their face.
'Finally', they thought to themselves.
The girls who were on stage were still finishing their act, so they had to wait still.

Yet when they walked on stage, everyone's eyes would be on them.
It was always like that.
The performer smirked, remembering all the times when people would gush and water at the mouth for them as they danced.

Sure, the performance itself was done by two people, but everyone knew who they were looking at.
The way the energy in the room shifted when the lights would dim, the music setting up the atmosphere and then finally you walking out to complete the shift in auras.

Finally, the music stopped and your partner showed up at your side.
The two of you didn't like to talk much before showtime but on the stage it was different.
Well, depending on what song you had planned for that day.

Today's set was your famous one.
The one that had garnered all the attention from your first appearance.
It truly filled your pockets.

You winked at your partner.
He returned it.

The lights had already dimmed, the music starting.
Your partner walking towards the center of the stage.
Now you just had to wait for the beat to drop.

It finally did.

You strutted.
Slowly and seductively; in time with the music.
The audience clearly happy to see you.
You approached your partner in the chair, your hands already roaming him.
Whistles came from the audience.
You smirked and continued on with your routine.

A certain man caught your eye halfway through the performance.
You didn't know if it was because of the way his eyes looked at you or because of the man next to him being on a laptop.
Either way, the attention he was giving you was satisfactory.
You winked at him, he smirked.

You wanted him to look at you for the whole performance.

Finally, it was time for the finale.
You had already chosen your victim, so you transferred that information to your partner.
He nodded and walked into the audience.
You paced the stage, posing here and there making sure that you kept the audience entranced with you.
And that is exactly what they were.

The pale eyed man was placed before you in the chair.
You smiled at him and started with your dance.
Finally, you sat on his lap.
Bouncing up and down.
The sounds of the audience and the music tuned out.
The man the only thing that mattered right now.
You didn't break eye contact with him at all and he surprisingly didn't either.
You bit his ear.
He moaned quietly.
Flushing red.
You smirked at him again.
Eye contact finally breaking when he looked down.

The performance finally came to an end.
The lights went down.
The audience roaring.
You got up and helped the man.
You told him to meet you outside after twelve.
He whispered in agreement and got off the stage.

517 words.
Sorry for the short chapter. This prompt had been stuck in my head for a while now and I decided to finally free it but this is honestly horrible.
Might do a follow up though?
oh and this book is officially a year old!
