The Question

So Fucking Sorry for the long ass wait. Thanks for 600 reads. That's like over 100 reads since last time I updated a month ago. Speaking of which, I kinda lost motivation, I made a new cover trying to find the flow again and the reason I'm finding it hard is because its difficult for me to write a 3000-3500 word chapter in a week to a week and a half so I'll probably cut the rest of the chapters I write in between 2000-3000 words. The reason I wasn't writing was because I have family visiting from far away. Well I also got back into the Maze Runner books so I've been reading them as well so I haven't had time to write with all the other stuff I'm doing. I'll try and get out 2 or 3 chapters in the next few days to make up for the lack of chapters in the past month

Ash walked through the streets of Lumiose City with Eevee on his head and Pikachu on his shoulder. (like in Lets Go) Both Pikachu and Eevee were tense, not speaking. Ash had to verse Jimmy and they were both there when Ash burnt New Bark Town to the ground on Giovanni's order. But both know that Jimmy would not hold anything back in this battle. And neither would Ash. They finally got to the stadium and entered on the field where Jimmy was waiting.

With Jimmy and Ash:

Jimmy did not speak. He merely death stared Ash, testing for any sign of weakness. But Ash stared back his eyes looked hollow and dead. They held none of the passion they had previously. Years ago. That was before everything went to shit. Giovanni was to blame. He found Ash when he was at his weakest and now Ash follows him like a blind dog. "Well ladies and gentlemen, we have a matchup for you. On my left we see Red Ketchum of Pallet Town, Kanto currently ranked first and on my right we have Jimmy Jackson of New Bark Town, Johto currently ranked third," Mr. Goodshow yelled into the microphone, "let's see who will walk out of this arena victorious." "Will both trainers please send out their first Pokemon," the ref called out. "Dugtrio," Jimmy yelled as he threw out a Pokeball, "Dugtrioooo," the Pokemon cried. Ash was silent as he threw out his Pokeball but his Pokemon was not. "Feraligatrrr," the Pokemon cried. "Battle begin," the ref yelled. "Dugtrio use Sludge Bomb," Jimmy yelled, "Dugtrioooo," the Pokemon cried. Ash didn't say anything but Fergaligatr used Protect. "Tri Attack, Dugtrio." Ash still didn't speak but Feraligatr dodged. "Stone Edge," Jimmy yelled, this time as Feraligatr tried to dodge it was hit by the Stone Edge. "Feraliii," the Pokemon cried out in pain as it hit the ground. "Feraligatr use Hydro Pump," Ash yelled, "Dugtrio use Tri Attack," Jimmy countered. The explosion engulfed the battlefield in smoke. "Feraligatr use Ice Punch," "Feraliii," it yelled at it jumped into the smoke. "Dugtrio use Earthquake so it can't get to you," Jimmy yelled, "Dug dug dugtriooo," the Pokemon cried as it began using Earthquake on the ground. "Change of plan, use Ice Punch on the ground," Ash yelled, "Feraliiii," the Pokemon cried as it rammed its fist into the ground. A wall of ice appeared and protected Feraligatr from the Earthquake. "Feraligatr use Aqua Tail to break through the ice," Ash yelled, "Feraligatrrrrr," the Pokemon cried as it used its tail to launch ice shards at Dugtrio. "Dugtrio use Tri Attack to counter it," Jimmy yelled, "Duggggg," Dugtrio cried. "Hydro Pump," Ash yelled, "Tri Attack," Jimmy retaliated. "Use Hydro Pump," Ash yelled, "Counter with Tri Attack," Jimmy replied, "Ice Punch," "Use dig to dodge, then use Earthquake," "Change directions, Feraligatr," "Feraliii," the Pokemon cried as it changed the direction of its fists and slammed them straight into Dugtrio."Dugtriooo," the Pokemon cried with swirls in its eyes. "Dugtrio is unable to battle, the winner is Feraligatr. Trainer Jimmy please send out your next Pokemon," the ref announced. "Feraligatr use Hydro Pump," Ash yelled, "Gengar use Shadow Ball," Jimmy countered, "Feraliiii/Gengarrrrr," both Pokemon yelled as they released their attacks. A thick fog then covered the battlefield because of it. When the dust cleared Gengar was nowhere to be seen. "Feraligatr, stay on alert," Ash called out. Ash suddenly remembered something that had happened when he encountered a Gengar in Kanto. It hid in the shadows from him then attacked when he wasn't looking. "That's it," Ash whispered to himself. "Feraligatr use Hydro Pump on the outskirts of the arena where there are shadows. "Gengar use Thunderbolt," Jimmy yelled, "Gengarrrr," the Pokemon cried. "There," Ash yelled, "Feraligatr use Hydro Pump 65 degrees my right." "Feraligatrrrrr," the Pokemon cried as it countered the thunderbolt. "Now Gengar use Shadow Sneak," Jimmy yelled, "Gengarr," the Pokemon yelled as it momentarily disappeared then reappeared to attack Feraligatr. "Now finish it with Thunderbolt," "Gengarrrr," the Pokemon cried, "Use Ice Punch," Ash yelled, "Feraligatrrrr," the Pokemon roared as it jumped to counter the Thuderbolt. Feraligatr was unable to break through due to being weakened before. "Feraliiii," Feraligatr cried out with swirls in its eyes. "Feraligatr is unable to battle the winner is Gengar. Trainer Red please send out your next Pokemon," the ref announced. "Go, Krookadile," Ash yelled, as the Indimidation Pokemon exited its Pokeball. "Krookaaaa," the Pokemon yelled. "Gengar use Shadow Ball," Jimmy yelled, "Krookadile use Stone Edge," Ash countered, "Gengarrr/Krookaaaaaa," both Pokemon cried as they launched their attacks. "Krookadile use Dig," Ash yelled, "Krooka krooka krooka krooka," the Pokemon yelled as it dug into the ground. And just as quickly as Krookadile reamerged and struck Gengar. "Gengar," the Pokemon cried out in pain as it hit the ground. "Gengar," Gengar cried out with swirls in its eyes. "Gengar is unable to battle the winner is Krookadile. Trainer Jimmy please send out your next Pokemon," the ref announced. "Go, Steelix," Jimmy yelled, "Steelixxx," the metal snake roared as it exited its Pokeball. "Use Iron Head," Jimmy yelled. "Counter with Foul Play," Ash replied. "Steelix, use Breaking Swipe," "Krookadile, use Dragon Claw," "Steelllll/"Kroookaaaa," both Pokemon cried. "Follow up with Ice Fang, Steelix," Jimmy yelled, "Krookadile, use Dig," Ash yelled back, "Steelix," the Pokemon cried as it charged at Krookadile. Meanwhile Krookadile stood still sweating heavily concentrating. "Krookadile, what are you doing," Ash yelled, "cursed body," Ash muttered, "of course. Krookadile, block with Dragon Claw," Ash yelled, just as Steelix jumped at Krookadile and it barely managed to block the attack. "Now use Foul Play," Ash yelled, "Krookaaaaa," Krookadile yelled as it launched itself at Steelix who was caught off guard. Although Steelix had been on the battlefield less it seemed to have taken more damage. Jimmy pulled out his Pokedex and scanned Krookadile. "Krookadile. Intimidation Pokemon. Krookadile's abilities are Intimidate and Moxie," the Pokedex spoke. "Typical Ash," Jimmy muttered to himself, "I need to shut it down and good for me I have just the contingency plan," "Krookadile use Foul Play again," Ash yelled, "Steelix, use Iron Head," Jimmy yelled, "Kroookaaaaa/Steeelixxxxxxx," both Pokemon cried as they struck each other with their attacks. "Steelix use wrap," Jimmy yelled, "Steeliixxxx," Steelix cried as it wrapped its tail around Krookadile. "Now bring it close to your body and use Self-Destruct," "Krookadile try and escape," Ash yelled, but it was no use. Krookadile was trapped and both Pokemon went out with a large explosion. "Both Steelix and Krookadile are unable to battle. It's a tie. Will both trainers send out their next Pokemon," the ref announced. "Go Talonflame," Ash yelled. "Talonnnnflameee," the Pokemon cried. "Go Umbreon," Jimmy yelled, "Umbreeonnnnn," the Pokemon cried. "Talonflame use Flame Charge," "Umbreon use Dark Pulse," "Talonflammme/Umbreeeee," both Pokemon cried as Talonflame barely managed to avoid the Dark Pulse. "Brave Bird," "Shadow Ball," "Flammme/ Breonnnn," both Pokemon cried. Talonflame managed to avoid the Shadow Ball and was now racing towards Umbreon. "Umbreon use Psychic on the Shadow Ball," Jimmy yelled. "Talonflame pull up, watch out for the Shadow Ball," Ash yelled, "Now use Dark Pulse," Jimmy retaliated, "Return," Ash could be heard saying. "Pikachu use Thunderbolt," he suddenly yelled, "Return," Jimmy countered, "Typhlosion use Flamethrower." "Pikachuuuuu/Typhlosionnnnnn," both Pokemon cried as their attacks clashed together. "Typhlosion use Focus Blast," Jimmy yelled, "Double Team," Ash responded with. "Pikachu use Surf," "Pikaaaa," the Pokemon cried as it rode on top of a giant wave coming towards Typhlosion, yet Jimmy seemed perfectly calm. "Typhlosion use Sunny Day, then split the Surf with Solar Beam," "Typhloooooo," the Pokemon cried as the sunlight turned harsh. "Pikachu use Thunderbolt," Ash yelled, "Typlosion use Flamethrower," Jimmy yelled back. "Pikaaaa/Typhloooo," both Pokemon cried as they charged up their moves. "Typhooo," Typhlosion cried out in pain as it was struck by the Surf. "Now use Thunderbolt," Ash yelled, "Chuuuuuu," Pikachu cried as it launched its attack at Typhlosion. "Tyyyyyy," Typhlosion cried out in more pain. When Pikachu finished its barrage Typhlosion was smoking. Unusual for a fire type Pokemon to emit smoke after being attacked. When Ash realised what was happening he knew he was fucked. "Typhlosion use Flamethrower," Jimmy yelled, "Pikachu use Double Team," Ash yelled, but the clones of Pikachu melted away from the pure intensity of the Flamethrower and Pikachu was hit head on. Pikachu was sent flying back. "Pikachu get up," Ash yelled, "Flamethrower," Jimmy yelled, "Thunderbolt," Ash yelled back. "Pikachuuuuu/Typhloooooo," both Pokemon yelled as they launched their attacks. The attacks clashed for a bit until breaking into an explosion creating smoke. "Pikachu use Quick Attack," Ash yelled, "Pika pika pika pika pikaaaaa," Pikachu cried as it launched into Typlosion. "ev ev eevee," Eeevee spoke worried to Ash, "don't worry Eevee, it'll be fine," Ash said. When the smoke cleared Typlosion stood there charging a Flamethrower. "Pikachu use Thunderbolt," Ash yelled quickly, "Pikachuuuu," Pikachu cried as it launched its thunderbolt. "Now Typhlosion," Jimmy yelled, "Typhlosionnnn," the Pokemon cried launching its attack. Flamethrower shredded right through the Thunderbolt and hit Pikachu head on. Pikachu was sent flying back to Ash. "Pikachu is unable to battle, the winner is Typlosion," the ref announced, "will Trainer Ash please send out his next Pokemon." Ash studied Typhlosion and realised it was breathing heavily. Ash realised what he had to do. "One move," Ash muttered to himself, "go Eevee," Ash yelled. "Flamethrower," Jimmy yelled. "Run towards it Eevee," Ash yelled. 'curious,' Jimmy thought to himself, "launch it Typhlosion," Jimmy yelled, 'One Move,' Ash thought to himself. "Eevee, spin dodge," Ash yelled, just after Eevee spun narrowly avoiding the Flamethrower. Time seemed to stop as Jimmy and Ash stared each other down Ash's hollow brown eyes devoid of life staring into Jimmy's crystal blue eyes. "Eevee use Swift," Ash yelled, "Eeeevee," Eevee cried as it launched its move towards Typhlosion. The stars shot forwards and Typhlosion was unable to dodge the stars. "Typhlosion is unable to battle the winner is Eevee," the ref announced, "will Trainer Jimmy please send out his next Pokemon," "Go Umbreon," Jimmy yelled, "Eevee return," Ash yelled, "Go Talonflame." "Umbreon use Dark Pulse," "Talonflame dodge then use Flame Charge." Talonflame began to surround itself in fire. "Umbreeee," Umbreon cried as it launched its attack at Talonflame. "Switch to Brave Bird Talonflame," Ash yelled, "Flammme," the Pokemon cried as it sped towards Umbreon. "Umbreon use Foul Play," Jimmy yelled, "Umbreee/Talonnnn," both Pokemon cried as they clashed with one another. "Steel Wing," Ash yelled, suddenly the use of a combo move sent Umbreon over the edge. "Umbreon is unable to battle, the winner is Talonflame," the ref announced, "will Trainer Jimmy send out his last Pokemon," "Go Tyranitar," Jimmy yelled, "Tyranitarrrrr," the Pokemon cried. (canonically in this Jimmy's Tyranitar is the one Silver used to own before he released it in Gold, Silver and Crystal arc) "Use Steel Wing," Ash yelled, "Use Thunder Punch," Jimmy yelled back. The two moves clashed and sparks flew in between the Pokemon. "Talonflame use Steel Bird," Ash yelled as Talonflame's wings seemed to turn to metal and it seemed to cover itself in a blue energy. Just as Talonflame got close to the ground as it shot towards Tyranitar Jimmy yelled, "Use Stone Edge," "Fly through it," Ash commanded, "Tyranitar use Thunder Punch," Jimmy yelled, "Meet it head on," Ash yelled back. This time the stalemate stuck. "Now Tyranitar with your other hand use Thunder Punch," Jimmy yelled, Ash could only watch as his Pokemon hit the floor. "Talonflame is unable to battle the winner is Tyranitar," the ref announced, "will Trainer Ash please send out his next Pokemon." "Go Scrafty," Ash yelled, "Tyranitar use Superpower," Jimmy yelled, "Scrafty use Low Kick," Ash yelled back. Scrafty slid below just where Tyranitar struck and swept it off its feet. "Now Focus Blast," Ash continued without a hint of remorse in his voice as he attacked a Pokemon that was on the floor that currently wasn't fighting back. "Hyper Beam," Jimmy spoke with a tinge of anger in his voice. But that wasn't the current issue. That would be that Scrafty just got knocked out. "Scrafty is unable to battle, the winner is Tyranitar," the ref yelled, "will Trainer Ash please send out their last Pokemon." Ash held a Pokeball in his hand about to throw it out when he saw that Jimmy was smirking and pointing to the monitor where it showed all the Pokemon who had battled and their status. The only circle that wasn't blackened out was the fifth circle down and it held the picture of a grey Eevee meaning that it was his last Pokemon. Ash sighed realising the predicament he found himself in. "Go Eevee," Ash yelled half-heartedly. Then Ash realised how tired Tyranitar looked. All it would take was one up close move. "Stone Edge," Jimmy yelled, "Dodge," Ash replied, "Now use Swift," "Hyper Beam," "while its on recharge Eevee use Swift to obscure its vision then Double Edge," Ash yelled, "Thunder Punch," Jimmy yelled until Eevee overpowered Tyranitar and sent it stumbling backwards. "Now use Swift," Ash yelled, "Eeeveee," Eevee cried as it launched golden stars at Tyranitar who had just recovered. "Tyranitar is unable to battle the winner is Eevee so the match goes to Red of Pallet Town," the ref announced. Ash didn't hear any of that and walked over to Jimmy, curious of what the Johto native had to say. "Do you regret it, burning down New Bark Town," Jimmy asked, "I had orders," Ash spoke quietly, "would you do it again if Giovanni told you to," "Yes, I would," Ash spoke before walking off. "Good," Jimmy muttered to himself making sure nobody knew what was on his belt that wasn't pokeballs. "When the time comes," Jimmy continued to speak to himself, "I will not hesitate. I will show no mercy. Just like you did to the people of New Bark Town."
