Chapter Fourteen~ Keefe

Keefe and Dex met Sophie and Biana at Havenfield that same day.

The boys made their way up to Sophie's room where she and Biana were waiting for them.

Dex's face tinted pink when he saw Biana and Keefe couldn't help but smirk at his friend.

"H-hey!" Dex said.

"Hey," Biana said shyly. "I'm Biana..."

"I know---I mean---Yeah!! I've seen you around!--I mean---" he dragged a hand down his face and groaned. "I'm Dex,"

Wow. Dex wasn't kidding when he said he was a train wreck around Biana.

Biana just giggled and smiled warmly at him.

Keefe shared a knowing look with Sophie. He smirked and said, "Well Foster, what are we gonna do about good ol' Fitzy?"

It didn't surprise Keefe when Biana jumped to defend her brother. "We don't know if he's really up to anything," she said.

"But we don't know if he isn't," Keefe countered.

Biana didn't have a response. She just slumped back down onto Foster's bed and sighed. "So wait," she started slowly, "Are you from Sophie's universe too?" she asked Dex.

"N-no," he said shyly, "I'm from here..."

"Oh cool!" She said, "We're like our own group and Sophie and Keefe are their own group!"

"Y-yeah!" he sputtered.

Keefe decided it was best to save Dex from having a mental breakdown and change back to the real subject. "So, why do you think he and Tammy Boy were talking about the Neverseen? I thought you guys took them out?"

"We did," Biana agreed, "He hasn't brought them up since he and Sophie got together since she doesn't like talking about it,"

Keefe glazed at Foster, who was looking super uncomfortable about her and Fitz's "relationship" and said to Biana "Ok, but why would Bangs Boy randomly bring them up?"

"Why do you have so many nicknames for people?" she asked him---clearly avoiding making conspiracies about her twin brother.

"Because I'm friends with them in my world---not Bangs Boy though---he's weird,"

"Uh, ok?" Biana said.

"I think we should keep an eye on Fitz for a while..." Sophie decided.

"I guess you're right..." Biana conceded sadly, "But I can't be involved too much,"

"Why not?" Dex asked.

Biana sighed. "Fitz and I...don't have the best relationship. We try to keep out of each other's way...ever since I told everyone we were twins..."

Everyone sat in awkward silence for a minute or so. Keefe knew what it felt like to not have a good relationship with someone who was supposed to love you. He tried to find something to break the silence but Dex beat him to it.

Dex put his hand over Biana's and smiled sympathetically. "I know what you mean..." he said quietly.

"You do?" she wondered.

"Yeah... Some days the triplets come home crying because the other prodigies are mean to them... It's really awesome that you don't care that you have a twin,"

"I don't understand why it matters...my parents care...a lot..." she whispered. "I'm sorry for the way my dad acts toward your family,"

"Don't be," he said, "It's not your fault,"

By that point, Keefe glanced out the window to see Wynn and Luna, Silveny's alicorn babies, in the meadow...and something else...two somethings...in painfully familiar black cloaks...

Dex and Biana smiled at each other. Then they seemed to notice that they were being watched. Dex's face turned red and Biana blushed like crazy.

"That was very touching guys, really," Keefe said, completely ruining the mood, "But, uh, there's something outside!!"

They all ran to the window and Sophie screamed "We have to save them!!"

The four ran outside to confront the black-cloaked people.

The second the people spotted Keefe and his friends, they pulled out a pathfinder and leapt away, dropping a slip of paper in their wake.

Keefe walked over to the spot where they leaped from and picked up the paper to read it.

A single phrase was on the sheet. A phrase that sent chills down Keefe's spine.

The star only rises at Nightfall

"That's impossible," Keefe whispered. "Nightfall was destroyed, wasn't it?"

"It was," Sophie agreed.

Keefe couldn't help but notice the way Biana touched her arms when he mentioned the place that caused her so much pain.

"Do you think it's still located under Atlantis?" He asked.

"It could be..." Sophie said.

"Who were they?" Dex wondered.

"The Neverseen," Sophie whispered. "They're back..." 

THE NEVERSEEN ARE BACK!!!! 

If Lady Gisela is good, who would lead them this time? 

Will Keefe and his friends be able to stop them?

Anyway, I might not post much next week because my finals start on Monday and I'm gonna be studying all weekend. (I'm a Foxfire prodigy by the way...say hi if you pass me in the halls! You might not see me cuz I'm a Vanisher!!)
