I don't really know what happened, but it seems Cyril has opened up to me again.

I've asked him a couple of times about what happened. However, he would always change the subject. I didn't want to force him to say anything, and it doesn't seem like he's bothered by it anymore, so I decided to just leave it be. Maybe I'll figure it out later.

It was definitely frustrating, but all's well that ends well, I guess. Let sleeping dogs lie.

Today, I'm busy doing work assigned to me by Orpheus and also looking at the documents for my businesses. Luckily, they all are doing well, all according to plan. However, unluckily, they're doing too well, and there's way too much paperwork to sort through.

At this point, I feel like a third of my revenue is going straight to Riven's pockets. Since he's the one sorting out the important documents and stuff, so things can proceed faster!

Hahh...

I sigh while looking at all the paper scattered on my desk.

It's so unfair.

While I'm being swamped with work and dealing with this torturous hell, Violet is off to have a leisurely tea time with Cyril! Where's the justice in the world!

I can only let out a sarcastic cheer in a monotone voice.

"Whee... hooray for capitalism... and the absence of a worker's union..."

In a beautiful garden, there was a gazebo made with intricate silver wires, shaped like beautiful roses. The craftsmanship of this courtyard was of the highest level, and it seemed as though birds chirped and sung just to compliment it.

The sun's rays shined down, bouncing off the leaves of the flowers and hedges. Sparkles and glistens could be seen from the small drops of water on them. The wind blew gently, rustling the leaves. It wasn't too strong, so it was the perfect weather for a day out.

At the table, under the shade, a blonde-haired boy and a black-haired girl sat. Dressed beautifully, they seemed to be enjoying a chat. By the ruby-eyed girl's side was a cute pink-haired boy with wolf ears. He was helping with serving them tea and snacks, as the maids were a few feet away.

The blonde, blue-eyed boy looked conflicted for a second.

Today, he had actually called Violet over for a reason. However, he was beginning to realize how difficult it'll be to talk about it.

After finally accepting his own feelings, he knew there was something he had to do beforehand.

He had no interest in pursuing Virgil while still being engaged with Violet.

Not just because he knew that there was no way Virgil would like someone who would play with someone's feelings. Violet was a friend he cherished, and he didn't want to hide something important from her.

Taking a huge breath of air, he reaffirmed his resolve once more. Trying to figure out how to best word this, there was silence for a few seconds.

It was only when he felt a weird chilling atmosphere coming from the direction of Michaelis, did he finally blurt out something.

"Violet! Um... uh... would you like to take a walk in the garden?"

"Hm? Sure!"

Cyril looked even worse as he realized he ran away at the last minute, cursing his own cowardice. He could only laugh to himself at his own pathetic display.

'You can't even tell her the truth... how can you even think about Gil...'

As the two walked into the garden, Michaelis walked a few feet behind the two. They began chatting again and Cyril began showing her around the garden.
