"Ahm...Sky" Ericka can't look me straight in the eyes. Tinawag niya kasi ako to talk, I don't really know bakit, basta bigla niya nalang akong tinawag tas ngayon halos hindi na siya makapag salita.
"Hindi ako nangangagat" biro ko, nakangiti akong nakatingin sakanya, this is the first time i'm gonna talk to Ericka, I mean a decent talk.
"Sorry" sabi niya naman at huminga ng malalim. "Ano kasi, pano ko ba sasabihin to?" nagkamot pa siya ng ulo, hindi alam kung anong sasabihin.
Naghihintay lang ako , i'm letting her to take her time, lunch naman and mukhang may gusto talaga siyang sabihin.
"Kasi I like Leo" mabilis na sabi niya na medyo ikinagulat ko naman, and ipinagtaka.
"Oh...but what does that have anything to do with me?" takang tanong ko. Bumuntong-hininga naman siya.
"Alam ko naman na gusto mo din siya, pero...ano kasi, I just –" natawa ako sa sinabi niya kaya natigilan siya.
"Sorry" sabi ko naman habang tumatawa pa din. "Where did you get that?" nagulat siya sa reaksyon ko.
"Ahm, hindi ba....?" tanong niya pa.
"No" tumigil ako sa pagtawa ngumiti. "You don't have to worry about me with Leo" sabi ko pa. "Leo and I are just friends, no hard feelings, Ericka, you can like him all you want, I wouldn't interfere" dagdag ko.
Why does everybody thinks I like Leo? Am I that close to him? I'm closer than Ethan.
"Talaga? Akala ko gusto mo siya..." nahihiyang sabi niya naman and I giggle.
"No Ericka, If I like Leo, I like him as my friend" sagot ko maman.
"Sorry, hindi pa naman kita kinakausap dahil akala ko, gusto mo siya, ayaw ko lang na, alam mo na, girls code ba?" umiwas pa siya ng tingin but she looked back at me again and gave me an apologetic smile.
So, that was the reason... because of Leo, i'm always wondering why she is quite around me.
"It's okay, Ericka, I understand you, but rest assured" paninigurado ko naman sakanya.
She said sorry a lot and we talked for a bit before having our lunches and going back to our classrooms.
I get Ericka's situation, having a crush with someone then your crush might get taken away by someone and that scares you and stuff, that's how she feels, I guess.
I just listen to my professors and wait for the class to be over. In just a few hours we're done. I packed my things and ready to go home.
Hee is picking me up today because kuya is on a business trip again, he's just gonna be away for three days, but I'M gonna be WITH Hee, for the last three days.
He is pestering me a lot, telling to my face that he's right about Ethan because my brother told him about it.
I'm waiting at the school gate when somebody tapped my shoulder, I saw someone unfamiliar, he's smiling at me and handed me a paper then ran away.
I was left confused. I'm inspecting the paper when someone snatch it from me.
"Hey!" nagulat pa ako ng makita ko si Ethan na binabasa yon. Tinignan ko siya ng masama at hinintay na matapos pero nilukot niya yun at tinapon sa malayo. "Bakit mo tinapon?" tanong ko naman sakanya at pinalo pa siya.
"It's nonsense" sagot niya naman, hinawakan pa ang kamay ko para tigilan sa pagpalo sakanya.
"Ano bang laman? You should've let me read it first" sabi ko naman.
