The next day is uneventful until right up around 3 pm.

I'm in my dormitory when it happens. A voice rings out through the school-

"Everyone return to your dormitories immediately. Something awful has happened. The school will be closed tomorrow."

I glance up and search the room for anyone who looks like they know what's going on. They're all as confused as I am.

Slowly, people start returning to the common room, all muttering nervously. A rumour spreads through the tower- people are saying that a girl has been kidnapped and taken into the chamber.

The rest of the evening is spent sitting in the common room, waiting to hear any news of if the girl was rescued safely or not.

Eventually, I fall asleep on one of the couches next to Clancy and Dougal. I don't know what time it is when they wake me up, but, judging from the dark skies, I assume it's still really late.

"They caught the person doing the attacks! We're all having a feast!" Dougal grins.

"Oh my God-" I jump up. "What?"

"I know- Jacob's just popped in and told us the news," Clancy nods.

"That's amazing! Are they still closing the school?" I ask.

"I wouldn't think so- I think they got the girl out safely. Harry Potter had something to do with it."

"Of course he did," I grin, rolling my eyes. It all sounds too good to be true.

Nobody can be bothered to change into their day clothes, so we all wander down to the Great Hall in our pajamas.

The feast brings the most cheerfulness that has been in the castle for a good few weeks.

The best part is when Penelope runs in, completely alive and healthy. I jump up and hug her tightly. I underestimated how much I missed her when she was gone.

The school is no longer scheduled to be closed, students are safe again, and we don't have to take our end of year exams anymore- everyone is really happy.

Without exams, the rest of the school year goes by in a blur. Before I know it, it's time to board the train and go home.

Just as me and my friends are going into the train, Oliver stops me in the hallway.

"Hey- can I talk to you?" Oliver asks.

"Yeah," I nod, swallowing nervously.

"I'm sure there's an empty compartment towards the back somewhere."

"Okay."

"See you guys in a minute," Oliver waves to our friends as we leave and start walking down the train hallway.

We find an empty compartment and Oliver holds the door open for me. We walk in and sit down.

"Thanks for coming to talk to me; you didn't have to at all and I know you probably think I'm here to moan about what happened but I'm just really sorry and I hope that we can just forget about it and move on," he says, all in one breath.

"I'm not angry with you-"

"I just thought that our friendship was something more than it is and I'm really sorry about that; it's a pleasure to be your friend and nothing more so I really hope you don't feel pressured-"

"Oliver-" I laugh, "Slow down."

"Right, I've just been really worried cause you're super cool and I don't want to ruin our friendship-"
