Things moved quickly in the week I came back. Everyone set up for Steve waking up. We set up a small room in Shields base. Made it look like it was still the 1940's. A fake backdrop of old New York stood in front of a window. Everything made to ease Steve slowly back into the real world. We had a radio in the room repeating a baseball game from the 1940s. Giving everything we could to build the illusion.

Back in a normal modern outfit, the sleeves of my jacket rolled up. I watched the camera's as they placed him into the room. He had yet to wake up since they unfroze him. I had my arms crossed over my chest as I chewed on my thumb. The nerves were kicking in. It was any moment now he would wake up. Fury stood with me as Hill controlled the cameras. I paced around the room as I wondered how this would work. Fury just watching me and rolling his eyes.

"He's waking up." I heard Hill call out. I quickly stopped and stared up to the monitor on the wall. I watched as his eyes opened and he peered around the room. He sat up in the bed, a state of confusion setting in.

"Send in the agent." Fury said into the radio.

"I still think you should've let me talk to him first." I said sounding annoyed.

"Yes, because a half super soldier, half phasing powered women leaves London and suddenly becomes a nurse...makes a lot of sense." Fury replied. I shifted my eyes over to him and glared. I looked back at the screen as the women walked in. I watched as their interactions began. We had her dressed up in a suit matching the 40's. Fury loved his illusions.

"Good morning." I heard her say over the speakers in the room, "Or should I say afternoon."

Steve stared at her. My panic began to set in. I could see on his face he wasn't feeling comfortable at all. I couldn't tell if it was because he woke up or what.

"Where am I?" He asked quietly

"You're in a recovery room in New York City." She replied. Right on script.

Steve stayed silent again. I watched as he gazed back to the radio listening to it intently. He looked back at the agent. His gaze becoming intense.

"Where am I really?" He asked.

I looked at Fury. His eye shifted to me. He shook his head as if telling me to wait it out. I knew Steve wasn't buying the act though. The girl shifted in her stance before brining another smile to her face.

"I'm afraid I don't understand." She said smoothly.

"The game." Steve replied, "It's from May 1941. I know because I was there."

Her smiled dropped as I dropped my hands to my side. Shoot. How did no one catch the timing of it all.

"Fury.." I called out.

"Hold it." He said again. I watched as Steve stood up, approaching the girl slowly.

"Now, I'm going to ask you again. Where am I?" Steve asked. A red light began to blink on the wall beside us. I looked over as Steve began yelling at her. She was frantically pressing the panic button.

"Okay...Lets go." Fury said quickly. He quickly ran out as I followed behind. People began running quickly down the hall. As they did, a voice could be heard over our ear pieces.

"All agents, Code 13." I heard the girl yell frantically.

Fury and I were in a different part of the building. Far away from where Steve was being kept. We ran quickly as we could through the halls as people moved frantically. We made it to car garage as we walked up to the Fury's large black SUV. I caught my breath as he slid into the drivers seat.
