Tony sat on the bed in Layla's room. He stared at each thing inside of her room. A small bear sat against her pillows on her bed. He grabbed it and just stared. Remembering the day he had randomly brought it home back at the Avengers Tower. Hoping to give her some small comfort while she regained her memories. He was touched to see she kept it after all this time.

Tony hated that she was gone. It had been six months since she left. Though Vision Rhodey were in the compound, the place was so empty without her. He took a deep breath thinking back to all the things he had done wrong. How the Avengers had gotten to this point.

A small ding on his phone broke him out of his thoughts. He shifted up and pulled the phone out of his pocket. He stared at it for a second, seeing a blocked number with an attachment. Tony furrowed his brows before flicking his phone.

A holographic video sat in front of him. The video was paused on an image of Layla. He took in a sharp breath. Realizing now it was from her. Where ever she was now. He looked back down at the phone, hoping to find something to give him a clue. He knew it was pointless. Instead, he took a deep breath before pressing play.

Layla stood in a room he had never seen before. Where ever she was held some nice tech. Her video was so clear and crisp.

"Hey Tony," She smiled in the video. Her smile was bright, and warm. Something he hadn't seen in a while. She looked healthy. He was happy to see she was okay after everything.

I know the last thing you probably want is to hear from me.

That was a lie. He missed her.

I wasn't sure how to go about explaining this to you. You have a nasty habit of always thinking your right.

Tony listened to the chuckle escape her lips. He couldn't help but to the same.

After Bucky escaped, and I went to Clint. He told me I needed to prove to you why Bucky was worth fighting for, and apologize. I realize now in the heat of the moment, and the shocking reveal that I didn't get my chance.

Tony watched as she shifted around nervously. She looked away and paused as she thought.

You and I have a bad habit of not resting. We both just keep going and going. Jumping from one battle to the next.

She looked back at him, a smile developing on her face.

However, if you really think about it. I never rested because of James. I pretty much spent my entire adult life trying to bring him back to me.
