"Dear, can you please go get me my watch?"

The small h/c haired girl ran upstairs as she hummed her way up with the giddy feelings stirred in her stomach. The sun rose above Mondstad, sending the lights all over the city.

This was a nice day一especially to an innocent child.

Her heart raced as her tiny steps reached from one stair to another一finally arriving in front of her parents' room.

She twisted the doorknob open and closed it一walking in with ease. Her heart raced when she skipped her way to the table belonged to her father.

Why was she this happy?

Simple.

She got to play with her friends while showing off her new book一especially to her red haired friend.

Yet一her heart palpated for a moment, as if it's warning her not to get too close with anything. From skipping converted to walking, slowly slided the drawers as her eyes scanned through.

But what made her this cautious?

Y/n gripped her small hands tightly to her chest, praying to the Archons to calm her down.

Without much thoughts left, her e/c orbs found the ticking handwatch and the underneath was paper一what seemed to be letters.

That stack of paper could be from Anwyll or her, right?

But, both of them hardly sent him any letters.

Or it could be from his friends, he got a lot of acquintances and friends! Right?

She slowly picked up the white crinkled paper followed with her rapid heartbeat that couldn't stop beating.

Who's Arigna?

It's... someone she knew right? Someone from his workplace right?

She shook her head swiftly, continued to scan the rest her eyes could land on一but why did it feel so heavy? What made it so heavy just to read it?

I want to meet you, dear. I don't like staying or even get caught in arguements with my wife just because of you. We should be careful.

She could no longer feel her heart beating rapid一her smile curled down, biting her lips as she tried to find an understandable reason to why this letter was sent.

Her small fingers quickly put back the paper as her face slowly loose its colour. What should she do? Tell her mother?

Her legs slowly turned into noodles, as her heart quickly sank to her stomach一earning no sound from the abyss silence.

Her hopes, her dreams, her wishes she built up so hard一toppled over from the top till bottom, like a card house that fell from the loud bang.
