"What did McGonagall want to talk to you about, Harry?" You asked, walking alongside Harry towards the area of grass between the castle and the Forbidden Forest. The both of you were amazing friends, inseparable, just as much as him and Ron. But, there was a hidden reason as to why you loved being in his company and talking with him: you fancy him.

Harry, with his scruffy hair, chuckled softly as he laid down near a tree. You sat next to him as well, opening your potions book as this was your favorite study spot. You tried to take your eyes off him but you couldn't. The soft light that was illuminating through the gray clouds hit Harry's face perfectly. From your view, his eyelashes looked long and you could see the way his eyes skimmed through his notes. You stared in awe as he chuckled once more and you snapped yourself out of it before he noticed.

"As I am the unwanted Triwizard champion," Harry answered, fixing his glasses up the bump on his nose, "I need to find a partner because of some dance that we have to do."

"Dance?" You laughed, imagining Harry's ridiculous form trying to waltz. Or the way he would definitely step on his partner's shoes. Or how he would be stuttering and nervously looking around instead of talking. Or how he would be so red, that his awkwardness would radiate through. But somehow, hypothetically of course, if you were his partner, you wouldn't mind it at all.

"Yeah," he smirked, "something about it being tradition since like... 400 BC." He laughed at his own joke and you did as well, and you felt like a ray of sunshine was bolting through the clouds and hitting you with warm heat.

"Right in the early years of Dumbledore being the headmaster," you joked back, making Harry laugh even harder while you chuckled along.

"So," you stated once you have finished laughing with Harry, "Is everyone going to go to the dance or...?" You glanced back at your book as Harry was silent for a little while, hoping that the hint had reached him.

Harry lifted his head a little and was staring at you, and he felt his breath escape him. As some time has passed, the sun was hitting you directly now and all he could see is a beautiful angel right in front of him, reading some messy handwriting on a book.

"Harry?" You asked tilting your head up to look him in the eyes, the page you were about to turn curving between your fingers. His green eyes met yours and for a split second, you forgot about everything around you and what you were doing. The point of your focus was Harry's electrifying green eyes.

Harry blinked and it looked like a spell was broken. The both of you looked down at your books and you tried to make sense of what just happened. He also stared into your eyes for a long time, but it wasn't a friendly kind of way. In fact, the thing that you felt for Harry, wasn't friendly at all.

"Y/n?" Harry said in a hushed voice, his tone cautious.

Your heartbeat was increasing and you felt a lump at your throat. But, none the less, you turned your head to look at him again. "Yes, Harry," you answered, feeling that he could clearly hear your heart pounding against your chest.

"Would you like to go with me to the Yule Ball?" He asked you, blushing when you were staring at his face in surprise.

"Me? Aren't you supposed to ask the person you fancy?" You joked but your heart was doing a million exclamation marks at his question.

Harry smiled innocently. "Y/n, I just did. Now, please answer me so that I can plan my escape from right now."

You giggled and nodded your head.

"Sure, Harry, I would really like to go with you," you smiled, the both of you smiling so hard that your cheeks started to hurt.

"Brilliant," Harry grinned, opening his potions book and you did the same.
