Two Different Worlds

Chapter 10

Shiv's POV

I woke up dreading the day. I had red eyes and a stream of dried tears was visile running down my cheeks. I wanted to crawl back to bed and stay there but that was not possible.

"Shiv dear wake up and get going. Remember to get back early we have to go shopping for your engagement." Stated my mother.

I was so not excited to meet my future mother-in-law.

I got ready and put some black skinnies and a long sleeve shirt. I headed down for breakfast and grabbed an apple.

I got to my car and drove to my destination.

As soon as i parked my car i headed straight to my 1st class. I met the gang when I got in and we made small talk. They asked me about my weekend to which i just shrugged. Not being active in their talks they left me alone.

Chris was trying to get my attention by throwing paper balls at me. I didn't even spare them a single glance and threw them on the ground. I could tell he must have felt offended but i couldn't chat with him like i used to before.

I knew i had to forget him my family would never accept my relationship with him. They had already picked my future husband and i would never disappoint them or my grandfather.

I hurried out to my car as soon as all my classes were over. I didn't aven talk to the gang alot today. I didn't want to confront them so i spent my lunch in the library.

i got in my car and went to Mihir's office where my mum texted me to meet them.

The office was huge and it was 30 floors i got in the elevator and hit the 30th button.

I was confronted by his secretary who led me to a room. I went in and saw beautiful designs scattered on his desk and some plastic dolls that were wearing beautiful cholis and sarees.

I made small greeting and stood still as a girl called Sammy took my measurements.

They made me try different outfits but none of them caught our mum's eyes. Finally a beautiful choli caught their attention. I was grateful, finally no more changing of clothes.

It was really beautiful and gorgeous but unfortunately it was not going to be a happy day when i wear it. My mum was fussing over it and Sammy tried to do the last minute touches.

I met Mihir but he was really busy designing my wedding dress and some other assignments so he was not with us when trying on the outfits.

By the time i reached home it was 7:30, we had dinner and went to sleep. I got in my room and my last thought was that my engagement was 1 day away till sleep consumed me.
