Ponyboy- Friends

I made my way to the Curtis' house as I tightened my grip on the bag full of chocolate mixes I got them. They've been so helpful to me ever since my parents started getting abusive- and it's the least I could do. 

I opened the door- being welcomed with a smell of cinnamon and coffee

"Hey guys what's up!" I said- only to find the guys all surrounded by the table

As soon as they looked at me they quickly spread around the room

"Ahem- So Ponyboy, about that math test, just study and you'll be fine" Darry said

"Guys- it's not right, just tell her Pone she needs to know" Sodapop muttered in a low voice

I furrowed my eyebrows as I placed the bag down

"Guys what's going on?" 

The guys all patted Ponyboy on the shoulder as they walked into a room- leaving me and him alone. 

Ponyboy took a deep breath as he grabbed my hand

"Hey Y/N Listen- I gotta tell you something-" He said slowly- 

I nodded

"Yeah what's up"

"You remember when you told me if I wanted to save my relationship with Cherry, I had to give her whatever she wanted?" 

I nodded

"Oh yeah!"

"Well- what she want's is-" 

I smiled

"Is for me to not see you anymore.." he finished

My smile soon faded- "Wh- What?" 

He paced around the room

"I'm sorry- but ever since the whole me kissing you incident she doesn't want me hanging out with you anymore" 

I felt my eyes get blurry

"w- So you're just gonna push me aside and forget me?! Ponyboy THAT WAS ONE STUPID ACCIDENTAL KISS- I was your best friend since we were 6 years old!" I yelled

He rubbed the back of his neck "I know Y/N but I love Cherry and I really need to do this" 

I nodded- tears slipping down my cheek

"Fine-" I said while picking up my bag and stuffing all the things that were mine around the Curtis' house 

"Wait Y/N What are you doing?" he said- slight panic in his voice

"Making shit easier for you" I muttered- slamming the door closed

"Oh Y/N-" he muttered rubbing his forehead
