half a dozen Strix vampire vamp speed into the room
dad has a tight hold on my hand as we walk along
"Here they come"
Tristan, Aya, and Marcel stop several feet away from us
what is Marcel doing?
"Gentlemen" he glares at me "Boy. I wish I could say it was a pleasure"
dad nods
"Marcellus. Made your bed with the enemy, I see"
Marcel smiles fakely "Membership has its privileges"
"Let's get on with this, shall we?" dad smirks
Tristan turns to a tall blonde women
the women and another male bring a bloody shackled Hayley forward. She can't stand on her own because when they let go she falls to the ground. This makes me sad and mad. I don't know why.
"Hayley Marshall-Kenner, only slightly worse for wear. You'll have to forgive her if she seems a bit off. There's enough wolfsbane in her system to kill an entire pack. However, here she is, as requested. Now, where's my sister"
we all sneer at him
"She lives" dad tells him "You can thank Elijah for that." they go eye to eye "I wanted to flay her and hang her skin as a flag. Anyway, enough chit-chat. Let's conclude this tedious business, shall we"
"My sister first" Tristan insists "And, if you're tempted to argue, consider the numbers"
dad smirks in amusement and walks even closer to him leaving me with Elijah. He's showing he's not threatened by the army. They stare at each other for a moment. Dad looks at me
I go over to the green container, open it, and then rip the hood off her. Lastly, I rip her bonds letting her fall to the ground.
"Aurora de Martel, only slightly worse for wear. You'll have to forgive her if she seems a bit off. There's enough vervain in her system to kill hundreds of vampires. However, she is here alive, sadly"
then I step out of the container knowing what is about to happen
Tristan flies into the container and picks up 'Aurora'
she grabs the Serratura and slams it on the crate
"No....Aurora...what have you done to us" Tristan says
'Aurora smiles "Not to us...to you" then she walks out to join us
the magic wears off revealing Cami
"What is this" Tristan asks
"Well" I start "It was my idea to let you have the exact same death you wished on me"
the vampire stares at me "How is this possible"
"The Serratura creates an impenetrable boundary. Nothing living or dead can pass through" dad says smugly
"And, thanks to your lunatic sister, I'm neither"
Tristan eyes widen
"no. no. NO!"
Elijah and the Strix have their little argument before they stand down
"You will not abandon me" Tristan yells
the Aya looks towards him "It's a shame it has to end like this"
the Strix leave
I go to Hayley and pick her up
I'm 4'6 and she's 5'2 so she's leaning over me
"I'm bleeding on you"
my eyes go to her "It's okay, Hayley, I'm just glad you're not dead"
"Sweet" she deadpans
"I'm serious" I say "You've always been there for me and you're like the closest thing I have to a mom."
silence
"I'm sorry about Jackson"
more silence
we slink over to the crate
"So, this is to be my end" Tristan asks
I smirk "Oh no, it's the beginning of the rest of your eternity. Like you wanted for me. At the bottom of the ocean drowning over and over again"
Elijah smiles "This will be your splendidly horrific and perpetual end"
"What have you done with my sister"
dad smiles wider "Nothing...yet. But, I assure you, her death will be spectacular"
poor sod looks more worried
dad and Elijah goes to close the door
"Wait" Hayley calls and we go forward "You took a very good man from this world. He will be with me forever, but you? You will be forgotten. And as you rot in the ocean, remember my face." she grabs the container door "Because mine and Sammy's will be the last one you ever see" then she slams the door collapsing on me right after
"Help" I call "I'm gonna drop her"
Elijah grabs her

I was sitting in the study when Cami walks in
"Hey" I chirp "How are you"
she faces me "Fantastic"
my head turns "Sarcasm....you should leave it to the professionals"
"you're right" she snaps "I should leave it to the people who have no family. You're mom didn't want you, you're uncles and aunts don't want you, and you're father sure as hell doesn't want you. You are just another thing he has to do and worry about. In his way"
I frown tears coming to my eyes
my ego pushes them back so I sneer "I'm going to let this go but if you ever speak to me that way again I will pull out your intestines and make you eat them"
apparently that snapped her out of whatever she's in because she looks horrified
"I...I don't know what's wrong with me. Why would I say that? Especially to a sweet eight year old boy"
I calm down some "It's the transition it's making you manic"
Cami looks down
"I think I wanted to make you feel pain like I do. And so I said an evil, unfair things...An untrue thing, Samael"
I sigh but don't look "It's fine, Camille just go away"

"Hayley" I whisper "Can I sleep with you?"
she smiles "Sure"
I go in there and on her bed
"You've never asked to sleep with someone before"
silence
"I keep having a nightmare that I'm drowning" I gulp "I thought about asking dad but there's always someone in his bed....and in Aunt Freya's bed"
she giggles holding on to me
"and I thought you could-uh-use a friend tonight"
she kisses my head "I think of you as my son as well. Ever since I met you I have. Even when I was pretending to hate you because I thought you were a monster I still worried about you"
