i looked at his face again, finishing my drink.

the man was quite frankly the most beautiful thing i had ever seen. his jaw was sharp as a knife, covered with a dark beard that perfectly suited him. he had dark hair that looked like he had tried to style it, but it definitely got messed up in between now and a few hours ago.

he seemed so groomed but also effortlessly beautiful. i couldn't stand it anymore.

"fuck it," i say, standing up. i pay off my tab before walking over to him, sitting in the seat next to him.

"can i be completely honest with you?" i ask, my eyes trained on my hand.

a moment of silence passes before he speaks up. "go for it."

god, even his voice is beautiful.

"okay," i say, looking up at him. he had gorgeous brown eyes, his face filled with kindness and a hint of confusion. "you are the most handsome person i have ever seen in my entire life. and i really want to know if you're gay or have a wife or have a phone number."

he lets out a laugh, the sound almost perfect to me. "i'm not gay. i don't have a wife, and you can have my phone number," he says, a smile on his face.

"really?" i say, unable to hide the excitement in my voice.

"yes," he says, pulling his phone out of his pocket.

i grab my phone before unlocking it and handing it to him, the contacts app opened.

he does the same for me, allowing me to put my number in.

when we're both done, we pass our phones back to each other.

ben barnes (the cute guy from the bar)

"ben?" i ask, a smile on my face.

"y/n/n?" he asks.

i nod, a big smile on my face.

"well, i need to get home soon," i say, checking how far away the uber i had ordered was.

"let me walk you outside," he says, standing from his seat and holding out a hand for me to take.

i smile widely, slipping my hand into his. "if you insist, ben."
