"Pope, we're not stealing the drone. we're borrowing it." John B explained to Pope for the tenth time.
"humans are the only animal that can't tell fantasy from reality." Pope replied.
"wait did you come up with that?" John B asked.
"Albert Bernstein came up with it. but it applies to this whole treasure-hunting thing." Pope continued, "oh." John B replied.
"so, which is it? fantasy or reality?" Pope turned to his friends.
"why are you so weird, Pope?" JJ asked focusing on the blunt he was rolling for himself and Belle.
"it's fantasy, but possible reality." Kiara answered his question.
"reality." Belle responded not looking up from her book, she knew the gold was real but was curious where it was hiding in the island.
"that's my girl!" John B moved his hand back, Belle high fived the boy.
"reality." John B replied.
"virtual reality." JJ muttered pulling out his lighter to light his blunt when Pope flicked it away landing on Belle's book.
"keep the signal clear." Pope said, Belle laughed grabbing the blunt putting it in the pocket of her shirt she stole from John B when they pulled up to the salvage yard where Kiara's car was with the Pogue.
"let's go, Bells." Belle tossed her book back to her bag climbing over to the passenger seat getting out following Kiara while JJ and Pope argued.
"hey, don't worry. you two got this." John B leaned out the window telling the two girls.
"it's not us that i'm worried about." Kiara pointed to two boys in the back, Belle laughed going to Kie's car getting in.
"okay, spill. what's up with you and JJ? and don't bullshit me i know you two have something because you've been blushing like crazy and again he's been all touchy touchy with you and shit." Kiara announced once she got in the car catching Belle by surprise.
"i mean- i don't know i guess it's just different this summer, but i think i like him Kie and a lot because i don't think i've ever been like this with a boy before." Belle explained to her being completely honest.
"you think? or are you scared to fall for him?" she asked starting the car driving away.
