The first rays of the morning sun filtered through the curtains, gently waking Taehyung. It was only 6 a.m., but he knew he had to get ready for his first day of work. He glanced around his small room before getting out of bed, determined to make the best of his situation.

After a quick shower and dressing in a pair of comfortable jeans and a plain white T-shirt, Taehyung decided to explore the mansion. He had to find the kitchen to prepare for his duties as a chef.

Following the soft scent of food, he eventually found his way to the heart of the estate, a massive, beautifully designed kitchen. The aroma of breakfast dishes filled the air.

In the kitchen, he encountered a kind beta named Jisoo, who was busy preparing meals. She greeted him with a warm smile and introduced herself as Hoseok's mate. Taehyung couldn't help but notice the genuine kindness in her eyes.

"Good morning, Taehyung," Jisoo said. "I'll be helping you get accustomed to your new role as the chef here. Don't worry, everything will be okay."

Taehyung felt a wave of relief wash over him as he realized that not everyone in this mansion was as intimidating as Jeongguk.

Shortly after, Seokjin, Jeongguk's brother-in-law, entered the kitchen, carrying his adorable three-year-old son, Myung-Dae. The little alpha was all smiles and giggles as he clung to his father.

Seokjin introduced his son, "This is Myung-Dae. He's a curious little one. Say hello, Myung-Dae."

The toddler, wide-eyed and curious, looked at Taehyung and exclaimed, "Taetae!" His innocent charm instantly melted Taehyung's heart.

Seokjin chuckled, ruffling his son's hair. "Myung-Dae likes you already."

As the morning progressed, Taehyung learned the routines of the kitchen with Jisoo's patient guidance. He couldn't help but feel a glimmer of hope amidst the strange circumstances. Maybe, just maybe, life here wouldn't be as terrible as he had feared.

Finally, the clock struck 9 a.m., and Taehyung's heart raced as he knew it was time to face Jeongguk's scrutiny. He was nervous about the meal he had prepared, but Jisoo gave him an encouraging pat on the back and whispered, "You've got this."

Taehyung made his way to the grand dining room, where Hoseok, Jeongguk, Seokjin, Jisoo, and Yugyeom were already seated. The table was set beautifully, and Taehyung served each dish with precision, his hands steady despite his anxiety.

As he watched them take their first bites, he couldn't help but hold his breath, waiting for their reactions.

Jeongguk's expression was unreadable, but Hoseok nodded appreciatively, and Seokjin flashed him an encouraging smile. Even Yugyeom, who had initially been suspicious of Taehyung, seemed to be enjoying the meal.

Jisoo's presence reassured him, and her gentle smile from across the table made Taehyung feel a little less like an outsider.

It was a small victory, but for Taehyung, it meant everything. As he continued to serve the family, he hoped that maybe, just maybe, he could find a place in this strange world he now called home.

As the breakfast came to an end, Taehyung summoned all his courage. He couldn't bear the thought of being separated from his baby brother, Yeonjun, without a proper goodbye. Taking a deep breath, he approached Jeongguk, addressing him respectfully, "Mr. Jeon, I have a request."

Jeongguk, his expression still stern and dominating, glanced down at Taehyung but said nothing.

"I... I need to see my brother, just one last time," Taehyung implored, his voice trembling with emotion. "I promise I won't say anything about... about this place, about you. Please, it's important to me."

Jeongguk raised an eyebrow, a hint of a smirk tugging at the corner of his lips. "You think you can just make requests now, Omega?"

Taehyung's heart sank at Jeongguk's sarcastic tone, but he refused to back down. "I'm begging you, Mr. Jeon. It's all I'm asking for."

Jeongguk considered for a moment, his gaze piercing. "Fine. I have everything planned already. Be ready at 7 in the evening."

With that, Jeongguk left Taehyung standing there, trembling with a mix of fear and anticipation. What had Jeongguk planned, and what would be the cost of seeing his brother one last time? Taehyung couldn't help but feel a knot of anxiety tighten in his chest as he prepared himself for the evening ahead.
