Poppy ran through the grove, crying, as she tried to get as far away from her father as possible.

Finally, she stopped at a small pond, dropping down to her knees, as she looked at her reflection in the crystal blue water.

"If you search for tenderness. It isn't hard to find. You can have the love you need to live. But if you look for truthfulness. You might just as well be blind. It always seems to be so hard to give," Poppy sang sadly, as she looked at her reflection.

"Honesty is such a lonely word. Everyone is so untrue. Honesty is hardly ever heard. And mostly what I need from you."

Branch walked through the grove, searching for Poppy, when he suddenly heard something. He stopped, his ear twitching a little as he listened.

He'd know that voice anywhere. It was Poppy singing.

Slowly, he walked towards the sound, finally spotting her sitting at the pond.

He stopped walking, looking at her, sadly, before slowly beginning to approach.

     "Uh... Poppy?" he said softly.

She turned to him, and smiled slightly.

"Hey, Branch," she said softly, before turning back to the pond.

"I... I'm sorry," Branch said. "For lying... I really am. I should have just told you the truth, but I just..." He sighed, looking away, sadly. "I just couldn't stand seeing you sad..."
"I know, Branch," Poppy assured. "It's ok. I don't blame you. You where just trying to help. It's my dad I'm mad at."

Slowly, Branch sat down next to her, also looking down at his reflection.
